NaBloPoMo Day #9

My treasures came today!!!!  So happy!  I ordered some scrap materials from Temecula Quilt Co. and also a quilt kit to make a 9" x 12" little quilt..........
the back of the scrap package....I love all their fabrics...........

here's the little quilt kit...too cute!

here are the fabrics for it.........love!  and there's some cheddar fabric in there....I love cheddar cheese and cheddar fabric!
I also got 3 of 14 rows sewn on my Grannies Scrap Quilt............

In order not to get them mixed up, because there is a design to the placing of the rows together, I labeled them and hung them so they would not get wrinkled and also so Miss Peeps would not get them..lol!
I found a free cross stitch design being given by Priscilla and Chelsea of The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch...it's a Christmas chicken and so cute called Chicken Joy!  You can get it on Priscilla's blog here
I decided to blog early as the Iowa Hawkeyes are playing their biggest rival, the Wisconsin Badgers at 3:00 p.m. and I want to have everything done and ready to watch!  I'll be working on my Stars and Stripes Saturday and I need to get my Ed Debevic's roast prepped and ready for my supper tonight.
I hope you are enjoying your Saturday!
Happy Trails!!!

  2. Very pretty fabric! I, too, admire your quilting, Sam. My MIL is a quilter and I am the beneficiary of some of her beautiful work. Quilts will living far longer than their creators!

  3. I haven't been commenting much lately because of general busyness around here, but soon we are going to be socked in by winter and my quilting hibernation will begin! Thanks so much for steering me to the Temecula Quilt Co. What a lovely website. I have a feeling I may be making a purchase from them soon!!

    1. I know..aren't they just the best? Also, check out The Little Red Hen in Muscatine, Iowa...online. They sell individual fat quarters which not many online fabric sellers do. I love them too!

  4. I like your new fabric too Sam and hanging your strips is a brilliant idea. I wish I would have thought of that when I was quilting. I would sew strips and they would be a jumbled mess before I got them all sewn together.
I hope you enjoyed the game and your roast. :-)
    Blessings,
    Betsy
