I did have some finishes this week though. I finished 2 more books. One I had started and it got buried lost when I was cleaning. This is a great book and I will be going through it to make things. Do you buy books and then not use them....such as cookbooks or craft books? I have vowed to go through them and use the recipes and or craft projects and then pass them on! They do no good just sitting on the shelf. I can remember when I order them I can't wait until they get here and then after that first exhilarating 'walk-through'...they go on a shelf and sit there! For shame! So, this will be the first book that I am going to "utilize" what it has to offer! The first recipe I will be making is cinnamon rolls and then on to the next page whatever that has to offer. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as it contained a history of each of the authors and then how they met and formed The Farm Chicks plus their recipes and crafty projects and/or repurposing.
I finished this book which was not interesting until the last few chapters. The majority of the book were interviews with patients and it must have been translated from another language as the English was poor. But this was written back in 1969 and at that time no one dealt with death and they certainly didn't know how to deal with the dying back then. This book did a lot to further understanding and empathy for the patients and their families.
I had planned on making turkey pot pies as I had grabbed some frozen turkey out of the freezer. I made 4 single piecrusts but that was as far as I got. I did laundry and took my walk and the day was gone. So, I went uptown and got a pizza for supper. Here are the piecrusts "chilling out" in the frig....4 single crusts.
I crocheted another heart for Valentine's Day and I figure if I make one every day until Valentine's Day I will have quite a few little ornaments for my Valentine Tree......
My new non-fiction is Marley and Me............I got this at a library sale a while back........I just started it and it is already good............have any of you read it? I think it was a best seller at one time.......
That's all for today..........here are your "tidbits"..........
Handy to have and to know
You may not be a newbie...sometimes it's just nice to have some "easy" patterns for watching t.v.! LOL! Here's the link
