Look what's on it's way to me!!!!

This is Miss Maggie Rabbit being sold in kit form or pattern over at Posie Gets Cozy and they are getting sold out so run, don't walk!  I logged on early this  morning in anticipation and bought the following color combination which is already "sold out"!  Her stuff goes fast!  But don't worry, there are still some gorgeous color combinations to chose from or get the pattern and do your own.  I ordered the kit and some supplies.  I am SO excited and I can't wait to get it!!!!

Isn't she just adorable????  I love bunnies and although I was never into dolls when I was a child, now that I'm an adult, I absolutely adore animals dressed like people.  Similar to the tales and illustrations of Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit.....

 

Alicia Paulson of  Posie Gets Cozy stated she is not stopping with the one outfit either!  There will be boy outfits and more clothes for Miss Maggie too!  She's already made a darling knitted pinafore. I plan on making an entire family!  Oh, we need Grandma and Grandpa outfits too, Alicia, if you're listening! LOL!  I'm so excited!  I will keep you informed every step along the way as I build my own little world of Beatrix Bunnies!  Let's see, they'll need beds and linens and accessories and pajamas and robes and slippers and books to read and ...........

KAL for socks!

Whoa Nellie, what a week so far but I can't complain....it's piddly stuff but it has left me tired and behind.
I'm on my second sock....you guys have all probably knit 8 pair by now but.....I'll catch up....someday.
This second sock got frogged 4 times.....okay, so I guess I can't watch t.v. and knit......yet.
But now that I knit like a monk in total silence with my chair facing the wall and with blinders on, I'm doing pretty well.  I'm on STEP #3 of 6 or 7 if you count the fancy weave to even out the top of the cuff at the end.

 here's the right side....amazing!  I now know the difference between the two!!!!

As the gal in my Very Pink video states..."I told you the foot was a weird body part to knit for".  I didn't mention to her that there might be a few others.

Meanwhile, I've been reading the loveliest book of essays on knitting called "Knit Lit" which I thought I would share with you since I am sure you are SO tired of looking at my same old sock(s)....thank goodness we only have 2 feet or you'd REALLY be sick of my pictures.  

My friend Sue, the book fairy, gave this to me and I think this might be the second time I'm reading it I so enjoy it.  Is it wrong to photograph a knitting book on a crocheted background?

Tuesday Tips!

Tip #1 - Use empty kleenix boxes to store your plastic bags and you can pull them out one at a time!

Tip #2 - I know you've all seen cup hooks used for cups but they have many more uses.........

 I put cup hooks under my laundry room cupboard to hang empty ice cream containers filled with items that took up too much valuable cupboard space.

 Tip #3 - How often do you go about unplugging one appliance so you can plug in another in your kitchen?  I was doing that a lot until I found these handy devices at the local Wal-Mart for cheap!  They have several different models but this one suited my needs.  Now, no unplugging!  Today I ironed and I did not have to unplug anything...well, except the iron when I was done.
