YOP Week #18

Not a lot of crafting this week.  I've been trying to organize said crafts and materials.  I did manage to get some Ragwort squares done for the Blaithin CAL..........still not caught up though

I also got a knitted rectangular scrubbie done except for weaving in the ends.
I'm very tired this weekend but my sinus infection has cleared up...at least my teeth no longer hurt.
I spent some time window shopping online yesterday for some quilt books I've had my eyes on for awhile and Connecting Threads had their craft books on sale for 40%-50% off!  I'll probably be purchasing a few tomorrow.  I'm off to make soup now for supper.  My favorite....Penzey's Beer, Brat and Cheddar Soup......5  stars!!!  I hope I stay awake long enough to make it!  What is wrong with me?  I think I'm like the bears....I go into hibernation mode when it gets chilly!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. You have had so much to contend with of late, it's no wonder you feel tired. Make sure you look after yourself for a bit! Enjoy that soup.

  2. That soup sounds yummy. I love a hearty soup and I think this one fits the bill. I just might make that un the next week or two. Thanks for the idea.

Do you think our bodies ever get off that schedule from.when we worked? Sunday is the one day where we have ALWAYS taken it easy and rested so we can hit the floor running on Monday. We still that now even though we do not have to hit the floor running on Monday.

  5. A warm bowl of soup and an early night sounds perfect after days of sorting through things. I hope you take some down time between all the organising. I’m following your daily posts but won’t comment every day. A great start so far.

  6. Mmmm... homemade soup just sounds so wonderful. Every autumn I tell myself I'm going to make lots of soup now that the weather has turned chilly. And every spring, as it warms up I lament that I never made much soup at all! It tend to look at soup making as an art. It's just not something I'm very comfortable making. Maybe I'll change that this winter. Maybe you'll inspire me to, Sam. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

  8. What's wrong with you? Doh! You've got a sinus infection. Can you get an infection any closer to the brain?. Fuzzy thinking, and your body is gobbling up all your caloric intake and your stores trying to fight the infection. Cut yourself some slack.

    Your squares are gorgeous!

  9. Hi Sam, Beautiful crochet squares and that scrubbie looks great. I'm glad you're feeling better and I think your body is just telling you to rest. It needs sleep to heal.
We had a repeat of last nights tomato soup and grilled cheese because Hubby liked it so much. I doctor up the soup with spices and used a variety of cheeses with sour dough bread and it really WAS pretty good.
    Take care and rest.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
