Stitch Maynia started this week and pretty much took over. I am having to alter my plans and projects as supplies are running late and they are being delivered in dribs and drabs but I am grateful for those who are working to make it happen at all.
Day #1 of Stitch Maynia saw this little Lizzie Kate design for St. Patrick's Day.............
this is how much I got done on May 1st............sorry if this is a repeat for some of you.............
May 2nd saw the first of A Year of Celebrations - January............
Here is my little start on it....................BTW I am loving Lugana fabric..................
and for today I have just started February...........
Here are all the months and she even has 2 different versions for July and November for Canadian celebrations..........
As for knitting, I still have not chosen my next project but will this week for sure
and in crochet I did 4 more lattice squares but did not get the ends woven in yet...........
In the "haul" arena, I did get a bunch of floss but still missing a lot..............then I got some patterns which I don't have the material for so we shall see if they make it into Stitch Maynia....I hope so!
This one I have wanted for quite a while and there is another one for Christmas with Reindeer Feed
...
This one came free with an order, for Covid-19 remembrance (not that we will ever forget).......this might go in the rotation as it is small and I might have material for it...we'll see. They are the same pattern just different color pallets..................
This one I would love to have finished by the one year anniversary of my son's death but not sure if that's doable....we'll see.................but working on it will give me peace I know because he was cremated so there was no service or wake and no grave to visit and lay flowers on. This will take the place of visiting his grave. Diane Grick, the designer, created this after her mother died. I will put in Jim's initials and his dates. I think it's beautiful and I can't wait until the fabric and floss arrive!
That's all for this week folks! I hope you are staying healthy and happy and well fed!
Happy Trails!!!

Lots of lovely designs....Your stitching is so neat. I think the design you are stitching in memory of your son is beautiful. Thank you for visiting me on my blog....I loved your comment and hearing about your farm and crabapple trees was magical. Take care and keep well my friend. XXX
ReplyDeleteThe design you are stitching in memory of your son is beautiful. I hope it brings you peace and comfort. You are a beautiful stitcher and I very much enjoy seeing your projects. Stay safe and well.
ReplyDeleteI love your haul and the year of celebrations. I especially like the one you're making in memory of Jim. I hope it comforts you as you stitch it and think of him through the process of making it. I'm wishing you love and peace my friend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
The stitches are all fun! I love the last one. What a great memorial for your son.
ReplyDeleteI have been catching your posts during the week but tend not to comment on all posts, except on Sundays. I zoomed in on the bottom cross stitch so I could read the words and I think it is really lovely. Such a beautiful way to remember him. I don’t know how you find time to crochet when you are getting lots of Xs done too.
ReplyDeleteSo for stitch mania you start a new project every day of May? Wow! Lovely idea to honour and remember your son. I am certain every stitch will be filled with love.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty cross stitch patterns. I really like the one you have chosen for Jims memory. I may need to look into one similar for my brother. His ashes are being scattered over a lake around International Falls. So no place to go and be "near" him.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of nice stitch mania projects. I will enjoy watching. Your stitching is always so nice and neat.
That is one beautiful sampler to remember Jim. You will find comfort in all those stitches! :)
ReplyDeleteDarling projects that you are working on, and as always, you do a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteI sure like that sweet stitched sentiment that you are going to do for your son.
I think it will bring you a small measure of comfort to work on that in his memory...

No way could I cope with stitch Maynia, but then, it's not often I stitch smaller projects, usually I chose much larger x stitch projects.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to remember your son.
You have some lovely patterns selected for Maynia. I look forward to following your progress. I am not participating in Maynia, per se. I am stitching Feels Like Home from the Fat Quarter Shop, so maybe that counts a little. I love your plans for "When Life is Done" pattern and hope if brings you comfort.
ReplyDeleteSam, I am so looking forward to what you stitch up during Stitch Mania! You've got some cute cross stitch patterns there! And the one you hope to make in remembrance of your son is special. I hope it does your heart good to stitch it.
ReplyDeleteThe year of celebrations looks gorgeous and I think the cross stitch in memory of Jim is such a beautiful idea, I'm sure it will bring you comfort.
ReplyDeleteI have been married with my wife for 6 years and recently she broke up with me and it hurt me deeply when she told me to leave her alone and that she does not love me anymore when i was always faithful and honest to her. I tried all the ways to get her back buying her what she wants like i always did and she still left me heart broken and she even has a new boyfriend which destroyed me even more until a friend of mine from high school directed me to Dr Emu. This man changed my life completely. I followed everything he told me to do and my wife came back. I was stunned everything happened exactly like he told me. I had faith in everything he told me and everything was true. You can contact him via email: Emutemple@gmail.com He will help you in anything you need and quick to answer once you contact him through his whats-app number: +2347012841542 Website: http://emutemple.website2.me/
ReplyDeleteI was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
