Stitch Maynia Day #4

Whew!  Monday's are busy but I got some things done and started my next SM project.  This is one of a set of 4 Halloween ornaments I will be stitching.

What's nice is they are kits so everything is included even the needle.  They are done on paper which I have never worked on before but it is very sturdy.  There are also beads and sequins after the cross stitching is finished.
I also received some 'treasures' in the mail today!  Floss which I desperately needed.........
and 2 more patterns..........which I am hoping to start for Maynia but I am waiting for the fabric.  It has always astounded me that when my mother was born women did not have the right to vote. It's been a hundred years this year.
This is a song I sing all the time so I had to get it! LOL!
I got my chores done and then we had a big storm blow through but I managed to get some rugs shook and washed before that.  After the storm ended I went for my walk and the creeks were gushing.  Sometimes it flows over the road if we get a lot of rain very quickly but it just runs into the lake so I'm not too concerned about flooding here.  After my walk I came back and paid a bill and worked on the craft room.  It's really starting to look good and you can even sit on the couch now! LOL!  I hope you had a good day and an even better one tomorrow!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Hmmm, stitching on paper is very different. Kits are fabulous. So much easier than ordering thread all the time. At least that is my thought.

  9. I've never stitched on paper, but it looks really interesting. I paid some bills today too and hung the sheets on the line to dry. I love the smell of air dried sheets. I also sewed up the first of my four dresses. Hopefully another tomorrow.
You get so much accomplished every day. I feel lazy next to you.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  10. Cute Halloween kits and I love the Voting design. Here in Australia, women won the right to vote in 1902 (unless you were Aboriginal, to our shame.).

  11. Love those kits, and they will be such fun to work up.
Do you have a place that you display seasonal handiwork, or do you frame pieces for the wall?

    Have a sweet day.

  12. I haven't done embroidery over paper, that's a new one on me. But I can see that you are enjoying it. I do only little cross stitch occasionally.
    Take care,
    xx

  13. Those are some very interesting kits. I've not stitched on paper either. That is some nice looking floss you received. Hope the storm wasn't too bad for you. I heard places in TN got wind gusts over 70 miles/hr. Sounds like our south Florida hurricanes :)

  15. I'd never thought about it before, but you made me take note that my mother was born just 4 years after women got the vote. I never knew my grandmother (or any of my grandparents) so honestly, I don't think about them very often. But right now I'm thinking it would have been interesting to have a conversation with either of my grandmothers about that time in history. They would have been young adults during that time, I'm thinking.

  17. I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
