I have been working outside quite a bit. Today I took my walk early and then finished painting the bird feeder..........it belonged to my parents and I found it in the basement. I washed it well and then painted it. I filled it with birdseed and also some orange rinds filled with peanut butter. So far, I've only seen one bird there but word will get around!

I weeded and trimmed outside and raked and burned. I still need to go out and water and I ordered some stuff from Walmart to be delivered. I'm getting ready to place an Amazon order...again, for some hoses and a solar water pump for the birds.
I'm getting ready to prep a chocolate cake in a mug for dessert tonight. I've never made one. I wish I had some ice cream to go with it!

ReplyDeleteThe cake was good but I had put strawberries on it and some whipped cream but once that ran out I found it to be a bit rich for my taste. I'll have to make sure I have plenty of toppings and/or ice cream!

ReplyDeleteOh, me too! It amazes me that not a one of my neighbors is ever outside unless to get the mail. They hire their yard work done so why don't they get an apartment? They never, I mean never open their windows either. I just find that to be very strange.

ReplyDeleteYou are so busy all of the time. I'm wondering how your cake in a mug turned out? I've made a couple of different recipes in the past and they were very dry. If yours turned out well, would you share the recipe? I definitely don't need to eat an entire cake and Dennis isn't very keen on cake. Sometimes cake for one sounds like a great idea!

The birdhouse is a sweet find. It won't take long for the birds to find it. Is the water pump going in a bird bath? I need a bird bath near my feeder and was thinking moving water may keep it the mosquitos away...not sure though so I guess I should do some research. The chocolate cake in a mug sounds delicious.
