Speaking of cross stitch..........guess what showed up in the mail today.............my material for Jane's Joy...now that Stitch Maynia is over with. But that won't stop me! Here's the pattern and the material with just a teeny bit done on it ...........
It is a hand-dyed cornflower blue 28 count Jobelan and so soft!
We had a visitor today; a bird that would not go away and acted like something was wrong. I went outside and tried to see if a bird had fallen from a nest or what was going on but I couldn't figure it out. This is twice the size of the other birds I showed you the other day.
I had garbage to get out today and I went to the pharmacy and got my 2nd shingles shot. The first shot cost $172 but this one only cost $40 yet she said they are both the same! Go figure! I was the only one wearing a mask too! I also drove out to the highway to get gas but the pump was broken for regular. I moved my car as the neighbor was getting her roof done and they asked if they could use my driveway....they never used it! I did get some bread made...........

ReplyDeleteI love all your projects! You will be a very busy girl! I am hoping that between medicare and my insurance, the new shingle shot won't cost me so much. I have had shingles and paid over $200 for the last shot, which was superseded in one year by this new one. I certainly don't want the shingles again, but these medical bills are getting painful!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got your second shot. I need to get them but I'm afarid of reactions. I didn't do well with the old shingles shot. I had a horrible reaction from it so I'm a bit nervous to have the new one. I've heard of seveeral people that didn't do well.

DeleteSilly me just wrote a long comment on your blog when it had opened in Safari browser and it was lost. I’m now trying on Chrome, I don’t know why it never works on Safari but it is frustrating as when I look back at your previous posts I see ones I’ve commented on don’t show my comments. A quirk of Blogger maybe. Anyway....is this a bed sized quilt??? I’m not sure if a quilt means the same in xs as it is in sewing. Either way it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat is so frustrating when you write an "essay" and it disappears! It's happened to me many times! It is not a quilt. It will be about 13 X 13 inches when done. It seems like that is small but we'll see. My fabric is 18 X 26 inches and you usually leave 2-3 inches on each side for framing or finishing. I realized now I need more floss! Again! LOL!
