I'm not getting much crafting done with spring planting and gardening. Although, to be honest, I am behind in that area too. I keep trying to come up with a "handwork routine" and I might have one finally. I think 3 projects at a time are all I can handle and that will be whatever I chose but most probably a knitting project, a crochet project, and a miscellaneous project. I'll see how it goes.
This week I did not get the Prim Village cross stitch border finished but I got so bored with it I started on one of the houses. I don't care for their schedule on it so I'll do my own.
Remember this one? I was at Walmart this past week and was able to get more of that yarn...not sure if it's the same dye lot but what the heck. This is crochet.
I was reading a friends' blog and she had started a shawl/scarf that looked very enjoyable and I loved the style of it. I made a very similar scarf for my firstborn when he was a baby but it was crocheted and of course, it was much smaller. This is a free pattern on Ravelry. It is The Miss Marple shawl/scarf Here's the link
Here's mine so far.............
That's all the "craftiness" this week. It's been rainy here which makes me sleepy and not too energetic but I'm pushing through it! Although, I did take a 2-hour nap yesterday....I couldn't stay awake! LOL!
This week I will be making the American St. Patrick's Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage and so much more. I'm watching an addicting series on Acorn called A Place to Call Home. I'm reading Joy of Life (french) and Cherry Cheesecake Murder by Joane Fluke...both good! I hope you all stay healthy and away from the coronavirus!
Here are your "tidbits" for today...................
I thought this was really interesting!
Here's the link
If you have an Instant Pot this is so cool! Here's the recipe It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas....just sayin'.
There are no instructions but really you could crochet any squares and attach to some fabric and VOILA!
Words of wisdom....................
Happy Trails!!!

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one that gets 'lazy' on rainy days. Your Miss Marple shawl/scarf looks nice and even. I have a few skeins of the Home Town yarn. I love the feel of it too. I think mine will be made into a shawl. It is so soft and cozy feeling. I love the chuckle for today. That will be my motto for the day! Stay well, Sam.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I had some energy today and no matter what I take my walk. Yes, I like that Hometown yarn a lot!

When Spring works starts I will get slowed down too! You are making progress! Stay safe from the ole virus!
ReplyDeleteBy the time it all dries out here the grass and weeds will have taken over....it happens every year! You guys stay safe too!
DeleteLooks like you are keeping busy... at your own pace. And, really, once we're retired haven't we earned that right? Keep safe!
ReplyDeleteI know but I remember thinking when I was working how much I would get done and the things I would do when I retired.....well, no one told me there would be illness, expensive meds and I would be so tired! LOL! Plus, the money would go for meds. Oh well, at least I'm still here and not suffering like some...yet anyway. I am blessed!
DeleteLove the can't reach it don't need it quote. This is how I feel with my sore shoulder, anything out of reach, well, stays out of reach. I think 2 hour naps are just the ticket some days. I never make a special saint patrick's day meal - but I do try to remember to wear green. Good for you for not continuing with something that wasn't making you happy. Do your own thing! Yup, that's the ticket!!
ReplyDeleteI am making "the meal" today and I can't wait! The whole house smells wonderful! I p ray your shoulder gets better soon!

ReplyDeleteso much craftiness though! Your post made me feel all cozy and want to curl up with a book AND some knitting. I've found myself with about 2 weeks off, more likely 4 weeks, and I'm planning on using that time to craft. And get caught up on the to-do list! I haven't even ordered seeds yet! Happy crafting. I look forward to checking back in to see what all you are doing.
ReplyDeletethank you so much, Kristen! Are you off because of COVID-19? and oh yes, the never-ending to do list! I have been writing daily to-do lists since I learned to write and at 71 years old I have yet to finish one in one day! But I still love writing down all those hope and dreams and 'action items'! Enjoy your time off!
ReplyDeleteYes, everything is shut down around here because of the virus. I love having a to-do list, and like you, I don't remember ever being able to cross everything off the list after one day. But I just keep making them because it helps me feel organized and I use it as a 'brain dump' a lot of the time. My mind feels clearer when I dump some stuff out of it!
DeleteI was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
