I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving those that celebrate here in the states. I had a good one...I even surprised myself! I thought it would be difficult being the first Holiday without Jim but since I have spent most of my holidays alone it wasn't bad. I watched the parade and a Bear's game and they won! I cooked the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potato casserole and had a feast!
Today I had some calls to make and some bills to pay. I got my treasures finally! I need those supplies for Christmas 'making'!
I was very tired today so I cross stitched and listened to the last Iowa game which they won in the last few seconds! They'll be in a bowl game but I'm not sure which one.

The weather has been cold. dreary and rainy..........I have to have lamps on all day.......
I worked on Christmas presents today but also my Fall Friday cross stitch............

And, what a wonderful feast you had! I would be so tempted, if it weren't for all the others, to skip the turkey and go straight to the pumpkin pie topped with Reddi Wip. I actually rather like days like this. I did my after-the-company-leaves cleaning, took a nap, watched a bit of Arkansas football, and got out patterns and fabric for the girls' dolls Christmas dresses.
ReplyDeleteI knew AR was on but Iowa won out! Although I had to listen to it on the radio. LOL! I think I am going to have to take naps in the afternoon. I never have but I start dozing if I sit down just like those old people on T.V.! LOL! I did have a piece of that pie when it came out of the oven with whipped cream....I couldn't wait! I'm glad you had a good day. I did think of you yesterday my friend, and hoped that it wouldn't be too difficult for you. We had leftovers today, some of the kids and all the grands are at the mall right now while Alex and Tara are getting some work done because it's not Thanksgiving in Britain or Japan! Dennis is folding a load of laundry and I thought I would try to catch up on blogs. I haven't picked up my knitting needles in days.

Just knowing there are others out there sending me good thoughts has helped so much! Knowing I am not alone and that my grief is shared is truly a comfort and I so appreciate it! ReplyDeleteI went to Hobby Lobby and then ran errands and went to the Clinic...seems we cannot go two days around here without a clinic visit. I bought some pretty pink soft baby yarn for a pair of booties and a small hat. I also bought some coral/pink and denim blue for the CAL...I needed new colors to encourage me and some cool variegated yarn for a hat for someone who know who? Slept for two hours last night after supper. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember what I did yesterday (Friday). I think I just recuperated from Thanksgiving Day. Today (Saturday) I crocheted some goodies I'm looking forward to sharing on Sunday. I'm ready to getting back to decluttering. :)
