NaBloPoMo Day #23

It dark and gloomy today and colder than it's been so I stayed inside and cleaned a bit....this shelf for one..............and everything on it......it's in my kitchen

There was an Iowa game on at 11:00 with Illinois.  It was their last home game........they won!
So while listening to the game (it wasn't televised here) I cross stitched on my Stars and Stripes Saturday.............until I ran out of the red floss!  This was a kit!  Plus, I had just put an order in this morning for xs supplies and now I need 1 floss?  It's a hand dyed one too....a 'fancy floss'.

So then I started on the last 2 solid squares that go with the Cosmos squares and then it will be on to the next flower what ever that is............

Here's your Thanksgiving tidbits for today................I think I shared this one last year but I laughed again this year so maybe you will too.............sick humor, I know................

This recipe looked and sounded delicious but I have not tried it so baker beware!

This is for sale on Etsy but it doesn't look like it would be hard to make..............I thought it was really cute............a nice banner for your kitchen!

I watched a cute movie on You Tube last night...The Most Wonderful Time of the year?  It was Hallmark and had The Fonz from Happy Days in it.
That's all for today!  I hope you had a great one!  See you tomorrow....God willing!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. I am in love with the pie banner for the kitchen! So cute. I would not be a happy camper to run out of the floss from a kit! I just love all your progress reports. Happy Weekend.

  2. That movie on Hallmark is one of my favorites too. You should write the company that made the flag xs and let them know you ran out of the red floss. They should send more free of charge.

  3. Hi Sam! You inspired me to take everything off of our kitchen counters and scrub them good. I still don't have a lot of energy, since this cold/whatever it is, has sapped my strength. The kids start arrived Monday. I HAVE to get better quick.
We watched a couple of Hallmark movies today too. One I had seen last year but Dennis hadn't. It was pretty cute so worth watching again. I'm lucky that he's willing to watch sappy movies with me although we can always predict the plot accurately. :-)
    Blessings,

  4. I rarely buy kits anymore because of the shortages in products.
I still have not retaught myself how to crochet one handed yet. It's way down on my list. For now, I'm content to spin and knit.
I haven't started watching Christmas movies yet. I usually wait until after December 1. Cockeyed Jo

  5. That banner is very cute! It's been cold here too, so I'm getting a lot of handiwork done.
