Well....the pictures aren't pretty but it's proof that I have been 'cleaning and organizing'.......this is what the garbage men faced today.........all from my garage!
The new 64 gallon black can did not go.........but it was full! There was a long piece of glass in the left hand box so I put a sign on it for them to be careful. The blue can was supposed to go and to ensure it I put a sign on it too but unfortunately the wind blew the sign inside the can and they didn't see it....oh well....there's always next week!
I also loaded up my car for the thrift store.................
I didn't take it today as I had 2 prescriptions to call in and pick up, a trip to the bank to get a copy made of my taxes so I could mail them and I also drove to the next town to get stamps (no, we don't even have a post office here). I tried to order stamps online but they keep telling me that my userid is in use....well, yes, it is...by me! They had shark stamps and jack 'o lantern stamps online and I thought the grands would love them! But alas, they had none of those at the post office. But the taxes are mailed....sigh of relief!
For my 3 things that need to get done each day; the taxes (finances); besides the garbage to the curb and the car loaded, I also cleaned 2 toilets (cleaning) but I didn't think you wanted to see a picture of that! LOL! I need to install the new toilet seat but not sure that will get done today. I picked up my prescriptions and baked a butterscotch 'snackin' cake (cooking) which I will share with you on Thursday...the cooking and baking day! LOL!
I finished the cuff of sock #2 and and I'm working on the leg now.....I can watch t.v. while doing that part....yay! I also had a funny thing happen right in the middle of the day today.....I have a black 'floater' in my eye! I've never had this before and it is quite the distraction. I'm not concerned but I will call my eye doctor tomorrow as I have eye problems from my Grave's disease and the new RA medicine can cause (rarely) eye problems and he is monitoring it every 4 months. Not sure if they are connected but I'm not taking any chances and it is almost 4 months since my last appointment anyway. Never a dull moment in the 'aging' department! LOL!
Oh, I also ordered canned and dry dog food and litter from Walmart and got free shipping to my door! What a treat! At the store they load those bags with the cans that actually tear my bags! Now, I can just open the box and take out what I can carry from the front door and those litter boxes are no fun either or the salt bags! Don't they realize that us baby boomers are getting old? LOL! They need to package smaller quantities that old people can manage to carry. I still manage the 40 pound salt bag but it's not easy!
Anyway, I don't mean to complain as I am feeling really good and I hope you are too but I do have lots of original parts.
I hope you had a great day!
Happy Trails!!!

Dang Sam.......you are in a mission. Good job on getting all the stuff out of the garage. You had a super busy day. Hopefully you and all your original parts get some downtime tonight. I hope the floater is nothing. Saying a few prayers for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marsha. I really appreciate the prayers!
DeleteSounds like a very busy day? I always feel good when get things accomplished! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila...good to hear from you! I bet Fall is beautiful up in your area. Yes, I hope I can continue on this progress!
DeleteWow! Busy, busy day. You got lots cleaned and cooked and even some errands thrown in. I'll be praying that the "floater" is nothing serious. I'm going to have to check out that free online Walmart delivery. I keep saying that, but then I forget. I flew to Omaha today. I got a few snuggles in before Miss Piper went to bed but I'm looking forward to lots more tomorrow! And my heart did fabulous on the flights! No tachycardia at all.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Oh, so wonderful to hear you did well on the flight and also that you are in your 'happy place' with Piper! Enjoy your time with your family as I'm sure you will! Thank you for your prayers!
DeleteHi Sam :) I've had such problems with Walmart deliveries and the packaging...I actually complained to them about it and they refunded my entire order without me having to return the items! Worth a try! I wish I could order EVERYTHING online lol! We don't have a post office here either, so I have to plan when I go.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a floater too. It's come and go, and I'm not bothered by it, but it makes me wonder why they just show up now and then.
I'm so envious of your knitting/watching tv abilities!!! :) I miss a stitch if a butterfly flies by me lol!
I'm getting used to the floater as this is day #2! LOL! They are usually harmless and a sign of aging as the vitreous fluid in your eye starts drying up....it's what causes older people to have those 'liquidy' looking eyes. Uh oh, I wonder how I'll fare with my order from Walmart...I'll keep you informed!
DeleteOh, trust me....I had to redo my sock cuff because I 'thought" I could watch t.v. and do the 2 x 2 rib....NOT! I can do straight knit stitch though but that's all! LOL!
I've been wanting to have our pet food delivered too, but the stores we get ours from doesn't sell online. I keep hoping other stores carry them. Sounds like you got a ton of work done too.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to 'keep on keepin' on' but I have to credit you and several other bloggers for motivating me as I hear about how much you get done at your place! It's a mutual inspiration society!
DeleteI love Walmart's free delivery, too. I bring one of my dogs to work with me, so it is much more convenient to get stuff delivered, than drop Jenny off and home, then go out again. You're doing a great job on the tidying. I'm doing the same thing. I've told DH that old stuff needs to go before the new comes in! lol
ReplyDeleteI totally understand and I am looking forward to it and because it is being delivered I am able to get larger packages....like I got a 4 pack of litter and saved money which I would never lug 4 boxes of litter from the store plus I'd run out of room in my cart! LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOur garbage can is that big too I think. Sometimes we have to stuff down the kitchen bags. There is a Walmart near me. I need to make time to check it out. Unfortunately, a poor employee had a gun held up to him recently.
ReplyDeleteAll the more reason to shop online! Anything over $35 is free and it is 2 day shipping or you can pick it up....Amazon are competing for our business and we win! LOL!
