Some I already had set up but needed more.....many more! These filled one entire shelf on my bookcase but there will be more tomorrow............ I have enough notebooks now and everything is pretty much in them but I have some to label yet...........I'm glad I took the time to do this as it will make my crafting life much easier............
I'm almost done with the cuff on sock #2 and I will never use Sirdar Heart and Sole sock yarn again! It splits, unwinds and snags at the drop of a hat! This is really the worst yarn I have ever used. Live and learn and also knit and learn! LOL! You get what you pay for and this was quite inexpensive.
I am bushed tonight and hitting the hay early but it was a productive day so I'm not complaining. I'm reading my regular books but also the New Living Translation Bible daily. My goal is 3 chapters a day. All my life I have wanted to read the Bible from cover to cover but never made it. Hopefully this time I will. It is so much easier to read and comprehend than The King James Version. Also, I have been listening to Daily Hope podcast with Pastor Rick Warren which has really helped keep my faith up and not worry about my son. Now, I'm off to take my Craftsy Knitting Class....Fearless Knitting by Lucy Neatby and then it is supper and beddy bye! I hope you had a fantastic day!
Happy Trails!
Great job with the notebooks! It really does make life easier. I don't care much for the Sidar yarn either for the same reason. Very splitting. Much admiration for wanting to read your Bible through this. I've done it several times and it does take dedication. Hubby read it through 4 times last year! We like the NIV tranaslation. The old one...not the newer version. Have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Good for you guys and 4 times in one year for hubby? Amazing dedication and it shows! I'm glad you thought the same of Sirdar. I hate to criticize as it could be just me and my lack of skills but when an experienced knitter like you feels the same way then I feel better! LOL!
DeleteSorry to hear the sock yarn is cruddy. But I do love the colorway. Very bright and cheery. I see you iron pillowcases. That is what mom taught me on. That and my dad's handkerchiefs.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind ironing at all except I can't do it for long periods of time. I usually iron 10 things and listen to podcasts while I do it. I do like my blouses ironed and pillowcases and dresser scarves. No sheets or underwear! LOL! I have known people to iron those.
DeleteWe took a year long Bible Class one year, read the whole thing and discussed it in a group setting....had homework too:) I learned a lot and kept notes in the margin of my everyday bible! :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds interesting! I've been enjoying the Daily Hope podcast too as he explains many passages in a way that makes sense to me and is logical.
DeleteI need to go get some of those notebooks! Mine are falling apart and jammed too full. I like that you were able to get different colors too. I had a good day...went to the Farmer's mkt this morning! I should have started reading the Bible with you. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteIt's not too late! That NLT bible reads so easily it's like a novel. I'm only on Genesis 19 reading 3 chapters a day but I have easily read 6 chapters when I forgot one day so you could catch up really fast! Listening to Pastor Rick Warren of the Daily Hope podcast really is what got me to reading it again. He makes sense of so much of it. He's a very good speaker!
DeleteI've heard of the NLT but am so used to my NASB that I never think of trying another translation. "Reads so easily it's like a novel" is very appealing, however!
DeleteThat shot of your notebooks is beautiful! I really, really need to get that organized myself. Having our house under constant rebuilding and remodeling does not lend itself to feeling even remotely organized, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI understand totally as for the last year I was dealing with a leaky porch and then had to wait until my sons came down to rebuild it for me and when they left I had dry wall dust on everything etc. So, it feels good to start getting things back in order but trust me....I have miles to go! Some rooms look like a bomb went off!
