After I got the above off my circular needles I cast on another hat for my son, Ben.
Nitty (the Rottweiler) is doing great after her "mastectomy". She's done taking her pills which we are both happy about although she's the best at taking them. The biopsy won't be back for another week and maybe we'll know something when I take her next Friday to have her stitches out. I'll be praying it's not cancer but I have a good feeling it isn't. I sure hope I'm right!
Nitty hates to have her picture taken...Orphan Annie, on the other hand, is a little ham! LOL!
I've had my eye on a Susan B. Anderson class on Craftsy and the other day it was 1/2 price from $29.99 to $14.99.......I snapped it up! It was her Not So Itty-Bitty Giraffe class. I'm on lesson 3 and now have to get the yarn....I have some in stash but not sure the stash is the color(s) I want to use. This will satisfy some of my "toy" making goals for this year. I want to make them for the grands for their birthdays in July. I've followed her blog for several years. So far, I'm enjoying the class and she is an excellent instructor and so personable. I checked and it is no longer on sale but if there is a class or classes you want to take you should keep an eye out because they do have sales quite often and on yarn and supplies too. I didn't know that Susan also writes the blog for Spud and Chloe.
Susan was a teacher before she left to make knitting her full-time career. I think this is something that I am going to really enjoy. I hope you have a great day and a great week. I still need to pick my charity to knit/crochet for so next week hopefully maybe I'll have some new yarn, a charity project and maybe even an FO! How exciting! LOL!
Happy Trails until we meet again...........
Little stash busters like the crochet heart squares are awesome aren't they? I am taking part in a 52 weeks if granny... Squares group on Rav that will really help with the stash busting!
ReplyDeleteI love that green yarn in the top picture!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Nitty..poor pup....
Stash busting is great..I have so much stash to bust though...
I'd like to get some yarn out and make more hearts today. Your projects are all coming along great! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove the hats both colours equally really and the hearts are going to be gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you've worked up for the grands :)
ReplyDeleteI thought about teaching how to crochet at our local libraries here.
ReplyDeleteYour hats look lovely and the heart squares are brilliant stash busters. I hope Nitty recovers quickly and the news is good.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of your heart blanket. Pats and kisses to Nitty.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is okay with the biopsy. Waiting to hear is so hard!
ReplyDeleteAs for the squares, if you're enjoying making them, then carry on. You could sew them back to back and use them as coasters. Or assemble them in a row with a border as a table runner. Maybe a placemat or two? Or even string them as a sort of bunting. Inspiration will come to you I'm sure!
You're whipping out hats at great speed I'd say! And they look great too. I've been meaning to look at Craftsy for fun classes to take, maybe some drop spindle spinning! I hope you'll have fun with yours :)
ReplyDeleteLove the hats and the hearts, Sam! So pleased that Nitty is feeling better....hope the news will be good. You have lots of lovely crafty plans! Wishing you a happy week.

I made 1 little crocheted heart while we were driving to Idaho last week. It is a little small, but I don't know what to do to create a second row. I might have to look up another pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou look like you have been busy.
I see you are still busy with your knitting and crocheting!
ReplyDeleteYour heart is especially cute.
Aw! Both doggies are adorable! Nice to hear Nitty's doing great and I truly hope you'll have good news next week! The green hat is looking amazing and I love how you're making something sweet for yourself! I can't wait to see your not-so-itty-bitty-giraffe in progress!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your dogs are so cute, and I'm sending my happy thoughts for Nitty's speedy recovery. The class sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Nitty is healing up. Interesting about the Oatmeal..have you ever tried it fried? I have been tempted, I only like Oatmeal in muffins or apple crisp:)
