Friday Night Sewing With Friends.......

This is only once a month but for me I am doing it every Friday night and I am making progress!  There is no knitting or crocheting that takes place on Friday  nights....only sewing and embroidery and applique.  Most evenings I'm tired and it's just so easy to pick up the needles or hook and I never get any of my other handwork or sewing done.  FNSWF solves that problem!
I spent the first couple hours cleaning and organizing my dining/sewing area so I can actually find my supplies and sit right down and sew when I want to.
I printed off the templates/pattern for the Hexie travel kit I'm working on, listed the supplies I don't have and finished my 2 hexie flowers that are needed for the kit.  They are both the same size but the angle I took the picture makes the bottom one look bigger.
After that I spent the rest of the evening working on my cross stitch bookmark for Valentine's Day and part of my VD project list.  I also got my list made for the supplies I need for all those projects.

Have a great Saturday....Happy Trails to you!

  1. I like your projects and the cross stitch is oh so pretty. Your blog looks great and I see your goodreads widget! How neat! You are on my blog list of favs but I realized I was not following you so now I'm your newest follower! HUGS!

  2. That's a great idea to set aside Friday nights for projects that require a needle and thread! Aren't those heroes addicting??

  3. That sounds like so much fun! ....and it sound beneficial!

  4. You sound ulta organised, unlike me I'm afraid. The patchwork hexies are my favourite.

  5. Hi Sam,
Well as usual you are waaaaay more creative then me. I have been doing a little knitting, but nothing that takes much thought.
Do I understand that you are moving? When and where?
Lots of snow here and very cold, it really is winter this year. Nancy Jo

  6. Good for you. I'm glad you are planning so well. Usually when I make plans, my mind goes off on a tangent and I'm doing something else before I know it. :). Love the bookmark. Those are such great gifts and so easy to make. Hugs, Sharon

  7. I have made 100's of those hexigons..I hand sewed them all and they are in a quilt:)
