I'm trying to get back on some kind of schedule now that Stitch Maynia is done for the year. Oh, I still have to work on all those projects I started....don't get me wrong! But I am also behind by 15 books in my Good Reads Challenge! I need to find some "tiny" books with less pages! :)
I did finish 2 books this past week...............
This is Susan Wittig Albert's China Bayles mystery series. It's okay but not as good as her Beatrix Potter mystery series....but I was given some of these books so I might as well read them. They're good mysteries just not my favorite characters. 3 stars out of 5
This book is a classic but again, I was not impressed. It was well written and it flowed along but I guess for the time that it was written in (1930's) it was very truthful about how the poor lived and got along. 3 of 5 stars
I printed off The Summer Reading Program from Modern Miss Darcy on my right-hand sidebar. It's free but it is about 30 pages so be prepared if you print it off. There was lots of great information in it.
She listed her TOP 5 off of the list and I got the first one but haven't started it yet. I have it on my tablet.......it is an historical fiction and it was on sale and it just came out in March...lucky me!
I'm back to reading magazines too........this one is my current read and I love the Pope and I'm not even Catholic!
I'm still reading the physics book and I need to pick out some "tiny" books so I can catch up on my reading challenge! I better go find some now!

I just finished a couple of Jeff Cohen mysteries, easy reading! And I'm in Laurie Lee's Cider with Rosie, wonderful writing. More serious than Cohen.

I am re-reading my Charlotte Macleod series. I started with the Peter Shandy ones, but I couldn't find one and I am trying to read them in order. So I started over with the Sarah Kelling ones and today I found the Peter Shandy one I was missing. I am thinking I will either do the Laura Child tea shop ones next or China Bayles since you keep mentioning her LOL. I was also thinking about re-reading the Earlene Fowler quilt block series with Benni Harper again. I haven't seen a new one in a while and I looked it up. She hasn't written any more in quite a while.

DeleteI am still reading Kristin Hannah books. My other favorite author is Debbie Macomber. I read all the Maggie Sefton knitting mysteries and they were all good and quick reads. There are 18 of them so that might be something to look into to help catch up.

I love to read but my issue is that an open book is a 'read' book. Once I start, I cannot put it down. However, I am participating for the first in Stitching Book Club and we are ready The Secret Garden. I know, a childhood classic but it's one of my favorites :)
