Yesterday I made out my menu and grocery list and put in my order to Walmart. I picked it up this morning at 7:15 a.m. they notified me before 7:00! So thrilled! I was even able to get the floor paint I wanted! I brought it all home, unloaded it into the garage, un-bagged it all in the garage, and then brought it into the kitchen and "sanitized" it all. I got everything put away and then I washed all the produce..........
After that, I ran out to the highway and filled the car with gas and the container for the mower. When I got back my bread dough was ready so I baked my bread...........
I've been searching for the battery and charger for my Alligator.............it's from Black and Decker and it is like a giant pair of scissors but they're chain saw scissors. I'm not much for chain saws but this I can handle.............I finally found them and it is charging so I will be able to use it! Yay! It is cordless....the cord lying there goes to a fan.
Then, the BIG treasure came in the mail!!!! I'm so thrilled! I got a Nespresso machine and the milk frother too! I debated for a long time but my Keurig finally bit the dust and I'd been using an old Mr. Coffee but it just wasn't the same. I read the reviews and most were excellent and they said if you loved the Keurig that this was even better! I'm having my first cup right now and I have to agree! I'm having a decaf and it is delish!
I haven't hooked up the frother yet. I'll do that tomorrow. I got up at 2:30 this morning so I am starting to wind down. This is such a treat for me as I love my coffee......good coffee! I can't wait to make all those fancy ones too! I'm sure there will be a learning curve and the coffee is not cheap but you can return the empty pods and they get recycled and you don't pay shipping so I like that!

This was a major purchase but well worth it since I never eat out nor is there anywhere within 100 miles that I could get a decent cup of coffee. I will really look forward to my morning coffee now!

I love your new coffee machine!! I have a fake Kuerig because when mine gave up the ghost, I still had a lot of the pods left. Lately I have been ordering from Intelligent Blends. They have a nice selection of flavored decaf and it is a way I can treat myself with no calories. Gosh, a frother, too! You are getting fancy!

ReplyDeleteI'm not a coffee drinker at all but we have a keurig at home and a 1 cup keurig in the camper for Dennis. Once in a while I'll use it to make hot water for tea or hot chocolate. I would love to have a frother though, to make hot chocolate like the coffee places do. For some reason the milk tastes better frothed!

Yes, it's a lot of work but I'm grateful I have money for the food as so many wish they had that amount to sanitize. I've got a system now and I figure the time I spend on the sanitizing is the amount of time I would have spent shopping in the store. I admit, I liked the shopping part better than the sanitizing part! LOL!

What a wonderful treasure in your mailbox today. I had heard of that machine but never really knew what it was used for. Sounds like it will be fun for you to play with it. I only drink coffee in the winter time. Hubby drinks a pot daily but likes his black. None of the foo-foo stuff for him LOL. I would love foo-foo coffee as long as it is sweet and creamy. So glad you were able to get your groceries early today. It makes it so nice so you can get them all put away. You get up so early in the morning. Have you done this for a lot of years? Your bread look yummy as always.
ReplyDeleteI don't always get up that early but when I do I figure it's God giving me some extra time to get things done! :) I just wake up when I am rested; sometimes it's 5 hours and sometimes it's 7 or 8 hours. I've always been an early riser to get ahead of the game when I had 4 children and a career! LOL!
DeleteThe coffees aren't flavored just from all over the world and different roasts. I do want to look up some recipes though for some fancy coffees and lattes.
I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is. He likes his black though. We have a Kuerig and I use it to make a French Vanilla drink and hubby makes his coffee and hot chocolate with is. We don't use pods a lot because of the expense. Grocery shopping has certainly taken on a whole new method hasn't it?

ReplyDeleteMy husband is the coffee drinker not me. I do like hot chocolate in the winter or cool summer days. Looks like you got a good machine, hope you like it and yes you are worth it! Yes groceries is lots of work. If I have time I have them leave me the cart and I disinfect in the parking lot and put the groceries in my reusuable bags...now I carry a cooler bag too wuith ice:)
ReplyDeleteWalmart doesn't want you to get out of the car....they just come out and load you up and away you go! There's "high-risk" pickup from 7-8 a.m. for people like me....old and 2 autoimmune diseases so there is no contact. I just disinfect the back lift gate handle and the groceries after I "de-bag" them. I got ice cream and those fruit bars too and nothing was melted at all thank goodness. They did tell me that they have a freezer by the pickup area and they don't take your frozen things out until you arrive. That was nice to know as I was afraid to order frozen things.
