Stitch Maynia Day #22

It stormed a good couple times today!  Very cozy while I spent almost the whole day making my menu and grocery list and then ordering it for pickup tomorrow morning between 7-8 a.m.
My daughter is doing fine other than a little soreness.  No more episodes of acid reflux which is what the diagnosis was.  My dinner was not good at all and I got sick from it so I think the ham went bad on me!  I will have to throw the dinner and the ham out as I can't take a chance.
On the bright side, I got some treasures in the mail today!  In fact, yesterday I got a pair of slacks I ordered from QVC on Monday!  They are fast!  Today, I got an order from Amazon which actually was faster than usual also.....under 2 weeks...amazing Amazon since I don't have Prime and they usually let it sit there for 2 weeks before they send it trying to get people to sign up for Prime!  Bezo's a bozo!  Anyway, I got my Lykke driftwood size 6 40 inch circular to start my habitation shawl by Helen Stewart!
I also got this book which Joanna from Stitching the High Notes podcast raved about so I went down that rabbit hole! It looks so good I had a hard time not plopping down during the storm and reading but I had to get my grocery order in for tomorrow as the rest of the weekend and beyond is rain and thunderstorms.  So, I have plenty of interesting things to do over the Memorial Day weekend!
I decided to use my hand-dyed material for Penelope and Peep pattern even though it didn't turn out like I wanted.  I'm hoping once I get it stitched it will look better.  I'm sure it will turn out as the pattern is so cute!  Here is my fabric...both sides............dyed with Rit Denim Blue and then tea/coffee dyed.

Here's the pattern by Priscilla and Chelsea of The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch.....
I didn't get too far on it as I was so focused on the menu, grocery list, and ordering.
I had a close call with the mailman today.  When they leave a package they usually knock on the door and then walk away....well, I heard the knock and waited just a bit.  I went to the door and opened it and there he was with my storm door open too, evidently wanting to leave the package inside the door as it was raining really hard.  Surprise, surprise and he didn't walk away either.  We were not social distancing that's for sure and he made no effort to either and kept my storm door open talking to me.  People here are not taking this seriously evidently.  That is the only "close encounter" I've had but I don't want another one so no more answering my door!  If I get sick I'll know how and when!
I've been so careful but I think people think that if they aren't sick they can't pass it on but they can! I hope you didn't have any close encounters!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Unfortunately I do believe that now that things are opening up--some people really 'feel' it is over and they can do what they want--it is not over and I believe it won't be over for a long time yet!!
I keep a mask on my door handle and I do not open my door unless it is on me--!!
and I did delete a blog site last week end cause the lady who wrote it 'bragged' about going to 6-7 stores and did not wear a mask--sorry--it is her responsible to wear one to keep us safe--she might be a carrier--her excuse was she lives in North Fl and it was too hot--well I live mid state in Fl and yes they are very hot--but--we still need to wear them---and I will continue to wear mine--maybe for months yet!!
I hope you will have no illness from this thoughtless postal person!!
    enjoy reading you daily--
    stay safe--luv, di

  2. That's too bad about your dinner. Can't wait to see your Penelope and Peep project. I feel that people are getting too comfortable now that we are starting to open up. We made a trip into town for bread, milk, eggs and fresh veggies today and I didn't see anyone in the store without a mask. A few in the parking lots but as they went into the stores they put their masks on, so that's good.

    1. We have done fairly well considering all the states around us are in much worse shape but we could get worse and I think we will especially now they are opening things up and it's a holiday weekend. We get lots of tourists here so I have a feeling come next week there will be an increase. The only thing that may help is that the weather is stormy this weekend. Stay safe and well and enjoy your weekend!

  3. We really haven't been anywhere except the doctor and hospital and of course masks are required. We will take a spin around town before returning home and very rarely see anyone coming out of a store with a mask on. People think it is infringing on THEIR freedom to wear one instead of infringing on MY freedom by possibly infecting me. My small county has had one new case every day this week, with a bonus two cases today. Luckily I can get Aldi to deliver to my porch.

  4. I didn't know Aldi delivered!?! I need to tell my daughter as she shops there all the time. Some carry AK-47's they say to protect others but they won't wear a mask to protect others....they just want to look tough but they aren't...just a bunch of scaredy cats that can't go out without carrying a gun but God forbid they should wear a mask. Stay well and stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

  5. It's the asymptomatic people who think everything is hunky dory but they have no idea who they are infecting. That's what makes it all so scary. I have never ordered from Amazon and never will. I have so many craft supplies so am using what I have and definitely can definitely keep busy for a very long time with what I've got. Have a blessed day.

  6. Close Encounters with the Mailman...sounds like a movie :) Penelope and Peep is one of my UFOs. I don't think I have much left to do on it so I should probably pull it out for a finish. I like your the fabric you dyed. I imagine it will work nicely with P&P.

  7. I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
