Let them eat pie!

The storm raged last night and the weather radio woke me up several times but no tornado warnings so I did not go to the basement.  All was well this morning so I was grateful.  I guess I didn't get as much sleep as I thought though.  I did chores this morning, kitted up my first Maynia start and finished making the lemon meringue pie.........
I had a piece of pie and promptly took a nap!  I woke up just now...at 4:00 p.m with no dinner made.  I guess a can of soup will have to do.....and pie!!!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Glad to know that you're safe and sound.
Pie sounds so yummy, and your pie looks mouth watering, delicious!
You are so good to have soup...I think I would just sit on the porch, watch the world go by, and eat some more pie :)

  2. I looked at that radar last night and told Dennis that it looked pretty ugly in your area but no tornado warnings at that time.
That pie! Oh my. Dennis would love that. I haven't made a lemon meringue pie in years and years and years. It looks absolutely delicious. Soup and pie sounds perfect.
I got my grocery order and then spent almost 2 hours wiping everything down. I'll be glad to go to the store again normally someday. It's such a stressful experience right now. I even went inside a second store after my Walmart pickup and still couldn't get rice or lysol/chorox wipes. Oh well. Maybe next time.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. I have never owned wipes and now I can't get any but I load up a wet rag with liquid detergent and wipe everything down. My fingers and everything are slick with the suds and then I let it all dry before putting away. Have you tried ordering online from Walmart for delivery? That's how I got my pasta. It is a lot of work but if it keeps us healthy that's a plus! Take care and stay safe and well!

  4. I would have loved a piece of that pie for my dinner. It was strawberry shortcake for us which wasn't bad. We had a crazy night because of the storms. Our county was under a tornado warning, but thankfully the storm weakened and the tornado fizzled out.

    1. Thank goodness it fizzled out! Whew! I have a basement to go to but still I don't want to lose my house! Oh, strawberry shortcake? Yummo!!! It is strawberry season soon. I have a few plants. I need to check them but mine are June bearing I think. That's why I took a nap....the lightening and thunder kept me awake and the weather radio, Do you have a shelter or basement? They always seem to happen at night when I am snuggled in bed and do not want to get up but if it's a tornado warning I will! Stay safe!

  10. OMG THAT PIE....I want it!! :) Hi Sam! I just wanted to answer your comment, moving day is in a week, I'm so nervous...and excited!! The reason why we don't have a fridge is that we just can't fit our appliances in the moving truck. There is a stove at the new place but no other appliances. Our original plan was to sell these appliances and use the money to buy some second hand ones once we got there. But the people who were going to take our appliances don't want to come and get them anymore and we don't have time to find a new buyer! Plus, we have to quarantine 14 days in NB once we get there, so we can go out shopping for a fridge. But we are well prepared and we'll just be "camping" for two weeks! :)

    1. Oh, I get it now! Plus, of all times to have a pandemic right? At least you're not having a baby or need major surgery! Wouldn't that be awful at this time. It sounds like you are well prepared. Maybe you could order a fridge online? Even one of those dorm frigs would be better than nothing. But still it must be exciting. These events (the new home) only happen a few times in a lifetime if you're lucky. They are highlights for sure and what a new life you get to create with all your favorite people! I am truly thrilled for you!

    2. Thanks Sam :) We thought about ordering a fridge online, but the delivery times are ridiculous. We're far better off just waiting it out and buying one in person! I'm so looking forward to moving!!! So much to do!! :)

  12. I'm glad everything turned out okay. And that pie looks amazing! It's not a bad thing to have pie for dinner. Or breakfast. Or lunch. Or as a snack. LOL.

  14. I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and he told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my wife know what I was going through. I finally got his email address: oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com and I emailed this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him, I sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3days. I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder. Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerful .please brothers and sister, contact Dr Ose oseremenspelltemple@gmail.com
