Blogmas Day #11

Well, I went to Walmart and I am getting a real kick out of scanning the groceries myself....it's like playing store when I was a kid! LOL!  Today I learned how to scan and weigh vegetables and also how to get a price for something that doesn't have a bar code.....I'm thinking I could put this experience on my resume!   I have been researching healthy snacks online as I tend to snack during the day and not have a sit-down lunch.  I got some good ideas from this site 29 Healthy Snacks That Can Help You Lose Weight
and here is a bunch of groceries to support it..................wish me luck!
I also stopped by the Dollar Tree for more wrapping supplies...........the saga continues............
More presents arrived today.........I just love my little tree....it is covered in ornaments from my family and the annual collectible ornaments from years past......
Now for your Christmas Tidbits for today!

Here's a recipe for reindeer bait
You've got to have that on hand for the holidays!  Disclaimer......this is NOT a healthy snack........but it's okay for the reindeer as they get plenty of exercise!
These are paper window displays which I thought were really pretty............no directions but I think if you wanted to do it you could just by looking at it................

 I love this one..............
That's all for today folks!  It's a "wrap".....get it.....wrap?  LOL!  Speaking of, I have lots of that ahead of me!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Luckily I live close to Dollar Tree. I had to make an emergency run last night right before closing. I try to wrap all the same things at the same time - 10 pairs of gloves for 10 grandchildren (so I don't leave anyone out). Well, one pair was ONE glove! I wasn't sure if the problem was with them or me, so I purchased another pair. Meanwhile I saw a funny meme. It said "Hey Walmart, don't blame me for forgetting to scan all my items. I never had any training on this machine"

    1. 10 grandchildren!?! You are wonder-grandmother! I understand your method. I do the same thing with baskets and they each have their own that I put their presents in before and after wrapping so I don't get confused and I only have 3 to buy for! LOL! You're amazing!
As for the "scanning" at Walmart....I check and recheck as I don't want to be arrested by Walmart security! LOL!

  2. Oh my! Those window displays are so pretty. I think I especially love the white tree cutouts and the little round lights. And I may just have to see how ricotta cheese tastes sprinkled with cocoa and stevia - especially since I have some in the fridge left over from Thanksgiving's lasagna.

    1. I'm not crazy about wrapping as I am not very good at it. You'd think after 4 kids and all that wrapping I would be but the RA makes me not so nimble fingered evidently.

  4. I don't mind self-checking a few items, but for a large cart full, I need help. I am really enjoying your daily posts. What fun they are leading up to Christmas. I love the paper window displays, and, of course, your little tree!

    1. I agree.....I just needed some basic supplies yesterday. I enjoy doing this because it is like talking to friends every day....no, it's not "like" talking to friends ....it IS talking to friends! Have a great day!

  5. I'm definitely going to check out those healthy snacks, (and the reindeer bait too!) The window decorations are so pretty. I especially like the one with the birds and berries. That's what birds have been doing outside our front window all day. We got about 4 inches of snow overnight and the birds are on a feeding frenzy.
To answer your question on your comment on my blog, yes, Tara is Alex's girlfriend. She lives in London, while he's in Japan. Quite the long distance relationship. :-) . He did make it home safely late last night our time. Thank you for your sweet comment Sam. I truly appreciate our friendship through these blogs of ours.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
