Today is a wonderful day! My SIL came through his surgery with flying colors and is doing very well! Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. Another wonderful thing happened. I got all the Christmas presents wrapped and packaged up and to the post office before they closed. There are a couple more presents to arrive and I haven't finished the ornaments but their main presents are on their way only I was in such a rush I didn't take any pictures! Oh well, they were so pretty too!

I don't know if you have a Target, but I have sound some pastel colored bottle trees there. So glad to hear that your son in law is doing okay. He has been in my prayers.

I slept better last night knowing my SIL had gotten through the surgery alright and he was doing well mentally also. Having a limb removed has to be an awful thing to have to face....so far so good although he has a long way to go.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Tammy! Yes, there's a long journey ahead of him and his family. They need ramps to the house and handrails everywhere. They can't afford it all but they are on a list for help in getting those items installed. He will have to go to a rehab place until then so he won't be home for Christmas but there are a lot of people still worse off. The rehab place is close to their house so that makes it easier. He will be getting a prosthetic eventually so it should work better than the old foot which he couldn't use at all. The prayers are much appreciated!

I plan to wander around Hobby Lobby today for some exercise. It snowed and was icy, now it's non-stop rain and the snow is all but gone. However I don't want to get soaked so I'll get some walking done indoors. :-)

Thank goodness the ice is gone! I'll never forget when you fell that time....not good! Did you get a pair of those spike things you attach to your shoes? I forget the name right now but I can gt it too you. They're hard to put on and off so I usually put them on an old pair of shoes that I just leave them on for when it's icy out.
