I put up the tree today! LOL! Actually it's always up I just have to replace the batteries in the lights! LOL! See all my presents? My daughter's Advent gifts to me arrived today! Also, see the big green package on the left? That's from Grayson...he wrapped it up himself! So sweet! Amy told me that actually it is something he gave me this past summer that I forgot and left there so he wrapped it up and is "re-gifting" it to me for Christmas! There is no one except maybe Amy that can make me laugh like that boy can! He is a hoot!
I had to go get prescriptions again today....you'd think I took a lot of meds....hmmm.....maybe I do? Anyway, I got the names and dates embroidered on the ornaments and a few other Christmas tasks. I still have wrapping to do after I post this blog. Oh, my Sugar Cookie Murder book came today for my holiday reading and my first seed catalog that I forgot to show you came the day after Thanksgiving! My favorite one too!

Yesterday was 70 F here and this morning was 29 and snow was on the radar but I never saw any..........I hope you are warm and dry!

Oh gosh, 70° the previous day and then 29° the next morning? That's not good for man nor beast. Or any growing plants either! We're into a cold spell. High of just barely above zero today (that's WITH sunshine) and a low tonight predicted to be around -14°. Winter has truly come to northern Minnesota.

I love your sweet tree and so many gifts! How fun is that? I wore flip-flops to the mailbox yesterday, (it was only 42 but I was being optimistic!). Today it's 14 and no flip-flops for sure. Ha!

ReplyDeleteThat is so funny about Grayson re-gifting you a gift he already gave you. And this way you get to enjoy receiving it twice! I love your tree. Maybe we'll do something like that. We're minimizing Christmas this year! At least, the decorations. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what your daughter has gotten for you in those Advent gifts. What fun. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I get to open the first one tomorrow and I will definitely share it with all of you! I hope hers arrive....I'm tracking it and it is in Desmoines now so it should be able to make it to Cedar Rapids by tomorrow....about 2 hours away but I sometimes think that the Pony Express was faster....but then they didn't have as much either. I do appreciate my mail people here for sure!
