NaBloPoMo Day #1

Okay, ready or not here I come!  I am attempting to post a daily blog every day in November.  Some people do this all the time but I can never seem to do it every single day....we'll see now.
Today is take down all the Halloween decorations inside and out.
I got a sweet surprise yesterday and one last week that I forgot to post about.......
a card from my good friend Tammy...........thank you, Tammy.....it really meant a lot to me...........
and a card from the grands and their Mom and Dad.  BTW, Dad is in a rehab center since he has to have iv's and can't walk but he's doing as well as can be expected.
and the best surprise......school pictures of the grands..........this is Grayson.............
and this is Sam his older brother..............too cute!!!  And such good boys.  They helped Grandma so much when I was there and Sam took really good care of Annie.  They're extremely good with animals and a big help to their Mom....well, most of the time! LOL!
I've got 2 of the Ragwort squares done for the Blaithin CAL.....still behind but enjoying it none the less.
We had our first frost last night and I had 4 trick or treaters.  I have a bunch of candy left  too.....hmm....good thing I bought the kind I like! LOL!
I hope you had a fun Halloween if you celebrate and now onto Thanksgiving!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. My goodness your little grands are cuties. I'm sorry to hear about your son-in-law and will continue praying for him. I'm looking forward to reading all of your posts this month. We didn't have many trick-or-treaters as it was only 17F and pretty cold for the little ones outside.
    Happy Friday!
    Blessings

    1. Thank you for your prayers for Tracy. He can certainly use them. He is no longer getting a paycheck so it's going to be a rough winter I fear. They have trick or trunk? here so most of the trick or treaters go there but I don't care for it and I like staying home. I always get some that see my decorations out every year. Most of my neighbor's house's are dark.

  2. We don't get any trick or treaters here, but we have a carnival and that's where I had out candy. Made 80 bags this year and only had 10 left- I was suprised at the turn out. It's cold here too and the frost landed heavy this morning.

  3. Your grand sons are adorable. They almost look like twins. Very glad to hear their dad is in rehab and on the road to recovery.

    1. They do look alike. I thought Grayson looked like me as a child when he was a toddler but now they just look like themselves. I pray Tracy heals but it looks like regardless he will never walk again and he is looking to find an occupation where he can work out of the house somehow.

  10. Your squares are beautiful! Don't you just love school pictures . . . I am so happy that the schools still do that. There is so much about school that has changed through the years. I would not be surprised to have them stop this too, and just do a on-line year book. Grandparents need pictures! We look forward to them :)
    Wishing you a lovely weekend.
