I took a walk today...the first one with out my girls and I cried most of the way. No matter where I turn I am reminded of them and their companionship for the last 14 years. It was beautiful out and I'm sure it will get easier but what I would really like to do is move back North and not be reminded of them every where I turn. We were a family and our daily lives revolved around each other.

I went to paint the shed only to find the paint all thick and non-usable. I'll need to get some more. I did run up town and get my honey, sorghum molasses and some pickled beets.............yum...........
My newest neighbor from California had some Halloween guests visiting so I took their picture.............
I've worked a bit on the Berries square #4............and I'll finish it tonight
I repotted a few plants and brought all the pots in and I guess that's all I got done today besides regular chores.............oh well....it is Friday after all. Tonight I plan on having some popcorn and 7-Up and watching a movie on You Tube that was recommended called "The Good Year". What do you have planned for your Friday night? Hi Sam :) Your world still looks like summer to me. The flowers are all gone here and there is very little green left! I love your neighbour's Halloween guests!! Enjoy your movie night! I'm in the bedroom with the dogs. They are imprisoned here with me overnight because I just gave them their flea and tick meds. It's toxic to cats so we have to separate them for 12 hours once a month! They don't mind though, it's a treat for them! :) I'm going to have a movie night too, some "found footage" horror stuff I think. Alex is in his office recording some music. It's a quiet Friday night in the village! :)

Oh, which ones are doing daily Vlogs? It seems You Tube doesn't show my regular ones but brings up ones I've never watched before. I have until Monday afternoon or evening to get my painting done and then I think it will be getting too cold...we'll see. Have a cozy weekend!

ReplyDeleteDh and I, on a whim, decided to go to the old theater in town to watch The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. We had great seats and waited for the show to start - fully expecting a fun evening. I wish I could say it was as fun as all the other times we've gone, but we had the misfortune of having some young adults sit directly behind us who, while possibly weren't legally drunk (but who knows?), had clearly been drinking enough to have their self-awareness impaired. DH finally turned around in exasperation and got them to quiet down, but even that was a bit evening-spoiling. It took us all a while to get over it and be able to laugh at the movie. Sigh. It seems I'm still getting over it...
It did sound like such a nice evening until....am I just getting old or does it seem like self-centerness has taken center stage (excuse the pun)for much of our society? None of us like confrontation (which is really your right to set boundaries with those youngsters) and then afterwards we feel bad....why is that? I must admit living alone for 20 some years I have no problem sticking up for myself but at the same time I don't want to hurt anyone else. I'm always thinking may their parent is in the hospital or their spouse left them or they just found out they have a debilitating disease. Probably not but that's just it....we don't know. I've never heard of The Ghost and Mr. Chicken but it sounds great for Halloween!
