Blogmas Day #11 and Day #12 - December 11th and 12th

I am so sorry!  I totally zoned out of blogging yesterday and I remembered after I was in bed and reading....and no, I was not going to get up out of my nice warm bed...lol!  So, you get a "twofer" today.   Here's your little bit of Christmas X 2.....................
I am definitely making these....here's the link

And I thought this was neat but now I need a pattern for cranberries! LOL~   It's crocheted popcorn garland for your Christmas tree..................it is a pay for pattern on Etsy.  Here's the link
I will not get any of this done before Christmas but it's a good start on next years list!
Today was Walmart and I got some lights and 'things'................I can't wait to see how these look over my mantle.................gold!
and these I already put up outside but that was as far as I got.....no decorations..........
I have to have some Christmas candles........................
some cording for finishing some
Christmas items............

A new organic item at Walmart...they get more and more each time I go.  This time it's organic chocolate chips (semi-sweet morsels)!
also more yarn...I have another gift to make...................

a graduation card for my son's girlfriend who is graduating with her masters degree.............I love the quote so I hope she likes the card............
I also treated myself to a Christmas present that I have had my eye on for awhile especially since all my herbs died when I brought them in the house....I would have liked to gift a few of these but they're all glass and that is hard to ensure it gets shipped safely.........
and I brought my lighted snowman, that my Aunt Alice made, upstairs and he will go in the front window tomorrow.   I still cannot find the colored little light bulbs that go in the ceramic Christmas tree she made!  So the snowman will have to fill in for this year.  They had a nice little 'real' tree for $18 at Walmart....I am so tempted....we'll see......

It's supposed to rain for the next several days so I was glad I got the shopping done and the lights at least strung outside.  How are things going at your place?
Happy Trails!!!

  1. I was at Walmart today but I didn't see you! heeheehee! I did buy some Christmas fabric in case I get in the mood to sew. I haven't bought any fabric...because I have so much...in a long time. It felt like a splurge but a fun one. Love your candles and the gift for yourself. Enjoy your evening!

  3. You had quite the shopping trip at Walmart didn’t you? I love everything you got, and that popcorn garland is just way too cute! I looked at the recipe for the Elf Bites and I just might make some next week. After the colonoscopy. Ha ha! I saw some of the little bulbs for the tree at Michael’s yesterday. I’m not sure they’re the right size though. I love your little snowman. As you can probably tell through the pictures on my blog, I love snowman. Have fun decorating! Blessings, Betsy

  4. I need to buy more seeds. I had older seeds for indoor herbs that just didn't hold up. Have a great week.

  5. I wasn't able to blog yesterday either. The electricity went out and that means no internet for me. I bought Christmas candles at Bath & Body Works a couple of weeks ago. They were having a sale/buy 3 and get 4 free which I had never heard of before. Those big candles are expensive so I got 7 for the price of 3. Can't beat that.

  6. Golly Gee Howdy! You were a busy bee for the past couple of days. Your snowman is adorable. He made me smile. If you know of any ceramic places close by, they will have the little lights for your tree, if you can not find them. Did you ever find the quilts for the boys? (just had to ask LOL) You had quite a nice shopping adventure too. It is amazing what all WalMart carries. It is my main go to especially for baking items. Their prices are more than half of our regular grocery store. Especially if I can get their store brand! Marshmellow fluff was a biggie for me. Walmart store brand was $.94 and Kraft was $1.78! That is a big savings when I needed to buy 8 of them! Same with the chocolate chips.

I still have a bit of decorating to do too. We will get done when we get done, right? I am trying to slow down this year and remember the TRUE reason for the season.

  7. Wow, you have been busy! My outdoor decorating has been done for a few weeks now, we have a large display that takes us a week or so to set up. Not sure how much longer we will be able to continue with it...not getting any younger and all that lol. Finally am done the inside, have been doing a little Christmas crafting for myself. Will do some baking, very little this year, just some cookies and loaves. I am like you with candles, I have been burning a Gingerbread one for a week or so now.

  8. Raining here the past two days. But warm (nearly 50 degrees)! I confess... I've done no decorating this year (and will not at this point), so I'm enjoying pictures that others post online. So glad you're sharing as you go, Sam. I feel like a lazy visitor, though - just watching you work. That snowman is so cute! And I'm curious about that herb growing kit. Need to see if our Walmart carries that so I can hopefully check it out in person.

  9. An easy and effective way to remove plaque around dental braces and improve gum health is to use a Gurin Water Flosser with the Orthodontic Tip. It is clinically proven more effective than dental floss for people with braces. Learn more about how to floss with braces using a Gurin water flosser.
