YOP Week #37

Big snow here yesterday and this is what I woke up to this morning.........beautiful!

and this afternoon............adios!
But it was a gift as it was our one and only snow this Winter so I truly appreciated it!
Meanwhile back at the ranch, I've been 'crafting' ...................the first bunny head is taking shape......of Alicia Paulson's Honey Bunny kits I ordered............
the Alicia Paulson Beatrix Potter blanket is coming along great.....how I love a mindless project! LOL!
I need to finish up this 2nd square of 5 for the 'birthday' basket...........
and I actually got some sewing done finally...................
started my project bag............ready to put the zip in!
I hope you all  had a wonderful and crafty week!
Happy Trails!

  1. Your snow pictures are wonderful! So great to capture the beauty and then to see the grass again so soon after. Your projects are so colourful and cheerful. Have a great week.

    1. I would rather have snow if it's going to be cold anyway...all of a sudden we're getting our first taste of winter!

  2. That was a fast melt. I can't wait to see more of your project bag. That is something I want to learn how to do; I have so many tutorials pinned for that. Can't wait to see more of the bunny; it will be so adorbs.

    1. Snow doesn't last long here usually. I have many tutorials pinned also for different ones...I've already goofed with this one....always use a press cloth when working with fusible anything!

  3. WOW! I was admiring the beautiful snow, and then POOF! It's gone! To tell you the truth, though... I wish every snow was like that. Your projects are looking lovely, Sam. And I love that Learn to Sew - what is that, a purse? A box with a handle? It's cute as can be!

    1. It is a metal tin from Moda fabrics that I got quite a few years ago...it is actually probably for a child to learn to sew as it has a kit inside with fabric for an apron, a tote bag and something else I can't remember, I really did buy it for the tin box....it will go in my sewing room when I get it fixed up in this house or the next!

  4. Beautiful snow photos...but I'm glad it was you, not me. We're finally seeing grass for the first time since November. Yay! Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? I saw those crochet hook soft covers there yesterday. Your project bag is looking very pretty. You are a very talented lady. :-)
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. The HL is 1 1/2 hours away but I've ordered online from them. They had them on Amazon but it wasn't a brand I recognized so I didn't buy them. Thank you, if you saw how I messed up one side of the bag already with the fusible interfacing you wouldn't say that! LOL! But it's a start and I learn every time I mess up! LOL!

  5. Amazing how the snow can be there in the morning and gone by afternoon. My youngest college boy is on Spring Break in NY and having anything but spring like weather. He says it's too cold to even be outside. They've had lots of wind and snow expected the rest of the week. Lovely projects you are working on. Did you get the email I sent you? I tried the centurytel address but it was returned so then used the yahoo account.

    1. No, I did not get your email! I swear my email provider blocks certain things....it's awful! But I get all the junk mail and I don't want it but personal things I don't get! I'm so sorry! I don't go into Yahoo and forgot I even have an account there? I get mail from Centurytel every day so why wouldn't I get yours? You can't send it from my blog though for sure. You have to send it from your email. I will check but if it was returned than I'm sure I never got it. It's probably Trump banning email from Muslim countries.....I'd laugh but it's not funny. This country has now been a democracy for quite a while now and it is so sad.
I forgot you had one in NY......yes, they are getting quite a blizzard! If he needs anything just let me know and I can send it from here.

  6. I love the look of snow on trees, on a blue sky background, it's so pretty! You have so many projects going, I don't have the motivation to do anything too crafty these days! I just want to be in the kitchen cooking yummy comfort food :))
