I'm on the last skein of 3 for the Irish Hiking Scarf...no more super bulky for me....it really hurts my hands and I can only do a few rows at a time.
I've cast on a sock...again....but that's all
I ordered new yarn.....several skeins of Noro Kureyon which I love and I'm crocheting some fall maple leaves from a pattern I purchased on Ravelry.
I haven't gotten too far yet......
And I'm off and running with the Christmas wash cloths! Grandmother's favorite, of course.
I hope you all had a good week....mine was good but tiring....trying to get outside work done and so much more! I'll be by later....have a great week!
Such pretty Noro colours - I just wish enjoyed knitting it. We cleared out the back garden but then we're into late fall. The pear tree must come down - it's got an infestation that's incurable - but I think I'll wait for Spring when I can replace it almost straight away.
ReplyDeleteThe Noro yarn is so pretty. Sorry the super bulky is causing you pain. It can be awkward to knit with such big needles. But the cables look terrific.
ReplyDeleteI love knitting dishcloths, I've never tried the Grandmothers Favourite........I think I may be adding that one to my ever growing list, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour Noro yarn looks delicious too.
Hiking Scarf is coming along but I am sorry to hear the bulky yarn is causing pain. I have to say I hate anything beyond an Aran weight and I much prefer yarns on the finer side. Looking forward to seeing the sock. I have to get back to mine, hmmmm not sure when that will ever be ! Ahhh cloths you just can't beat them can you ! I was only thinking of Grandmothers favourite cloth yesterday thinking I'll do some for the fair. Great minds really do think alike. I refuse to think of the last bit of that proverb ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Noro looks so great but I've heard it's scratchy? Need to try it :)
ReplyDeleteGrandmother's favourite is a great pattern :D
Such pretty yarns :)
ReplyDeleteI've really only knitted scarves, and one of these days, I need to learn how to knit other things.
Enjoy this lovely week.
Warm wishes...
Kerin
Pretty colors in that yarn:0 Fall work is happening here too..one thing at a time all too soon I will be indoors:(
ReplyDeletePretty yarn colours! I find big needles and chunky wool hurt my hands too and make progress very slow. Hope all your tasks are going well and you are enjoying fall.
