I set my "frogged" sock aside for now until the Olympics are over. I HAVE to watch the Olympics and I HAVE to knit but something simple not my first sock that's for sure! So, I am starting the "beginner knitting" project of the PurlBee bath mat made out of Rowan handknit cotton. So, far so good! LOL!
I ordered a few books which came in the mail today.........I'll let you know how they are after I read them
The colors and the word "organizing" and "craft space" really drew me to this one..........I'm mad about color! That white/neutral thing is definitely not for me!
This book on circular needles I've been looking at for awhile as that is what I use to knit now almost exclusively. This particular book had the most reviews and the highest rating of the books on circular needles knitting. I can't get enough of books, videos, stories, yarns, patterns.....well...you get my drift. I am mad for knitting! And crochet, and I just found a rug loom I think I can afford to make rag rugs with. I love so much about my life...I am truly blessed!
I "gotta run" and go watch more Olympics!!!!! Go Team U.S.A.!!!!! I admire all the athletes from everywhere and congratulations to all of them! Hope you had a great Tuesday!
I know how to knit but I never do! I bet it's relaxing!
ReplyDeleteI was supposed to learn circular knitting at one of the evening fiber meetings last year but wasn't able to attend. Regular knitting didn't make sense to me so I imagine the circular thing wouldn't have any better results. Unlike you, I don't like watching videos or reading books to figure something out. I like to do it on my own, try to figure it out, and if I can't, then I can't and on to the next project. I was able to watch men's team swimming and girls team gymnastics yesterday where USA won gold in both so that was quite nice to see. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThose books all look good....my knitting hasn't gone much beyond knitting flat....I did do some circular knitting a couple of months ago, but it for some reason really confused me, so I gave up! I always knit on circulars mind, as I dread small hands grabbing my knitting and everything falling off....not sure it's any safer on circulars but in my head it is :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Olympics and knitting....good choice made me thinks!

You just reminded me that I need to finish more un-finished knitting projects - ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of those books! Yes, the knitting does look perfect to accompany the watching of the Olympics! Enjoy your week :)
