I also spent some time organizing all my printouts of crochet and knitting patterns off the internet. I had picked up some plastic sleeves at the Dollar store last week and they were 20 for $1.00 so I got 3 packs of them. I got 2 pages inside each one and now I just need to get notebooks to put them in. I 'll have one for crochet, one for knitting and one for books as I have an ongoing list of books to read in addition to books that are part of a series and the order of them. I should probably make one for recipes too. The plastic sleeves allow me to take them out of the notebook and use them without getting them all ragged and beat up looking.
As for today.....If I walk it will be after supper that way if it "zaps" me I can just fall into bed! LOL! Meanwhile I have laundry, chicken Caprese to make, ironing, watering, making bread and working outside for an hour on a project and inside for an hour on a project. I also want to find some more refrigerator cookie recipes and get some dough frozen ahead to have on hand.
I hope your May Day was bright and gay and continues through the entire month!
Humidity here is 90%. Love the blanket.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day! Love the quilt on your chair!

Hi SAM,
ReplyDeleteYOU are really moving along on the blanket, very pretty.
Good idea for the patterns, might check out those at my dollar store.
Good luck on yur walking, just don't do it in the really hot part of the day, mornings or evenings or not at all might be better.
Nice here today, its about time.

It's so discouraging when exercise is debilitating rather than energizing. I guess timing is all. Trying to find a time of day in the summer when it isn't humid will be a challenge. I started today -- 2 miles -- and that's enough.
ReplyDeleteWell..
ReplyDeleteyou know what they say about the best laid plans.
I'm so glad that you rested up and I hope that you are going to be better today.
You certainly are staying busy!
Love your blanket, and ideas for keeping patterns organized.
I keep gardening, recipes, and decorating ideas organized in the same manner.
Have a great day, and take care of you!
Yep have to listen to your body when it is telling you to rest. Especially since we all have not had a chance to get used to the heat yet. Drizzly and wet here and I am sort of tired of it. Afterall I live in SoCal right?
ReplyDeletebeautiful Blanket! When you get old some days nothing works out as planned and you are just better off crocheting:)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better now...could it be low blood sugar? The heat gets to me so I try to walk when it's cooler too.
ReplyDeleteLove the afghan pattern! I've been wanting to make that one for ages. It's coming along great.
Thanks for your support on my blog post. These things are always tough and sometimes we have to move away from those that are hurting us. It has helped me too.
I haven't even attempted walking in a while, though I need to as doing nothing means I've gained about 5 lbs that I really don't need -- goes straight to my stomach and backside. :) Weather has been dusty the entire week. And I don't fare well in the heat anymore. Ironic since I live in a country that is hot as hell. 100 today is predicted but with nothing to absorb the heat, feels much hotter. And has even been a bit humid this week too. Yuck! You would think I would be used to that having grown up in the South, especially in Louisiana -- but the older the get, the less I can tolerate. :/ Hope you have a fab Friday. Tammy
