Okay, so maybe I exaggerated a bit....but I watched a podcast called Living With Cambriea and she volunteers to go to people's homes and help them clean especially REALLY messy, hoarder type houses. I was amazed by what she got done in one day! She cleaned a room a day and that is cleaning drawers, closets, and every surface. I figured if she could do that in one day I could at least do it in 1 week...right? So, today was Week #1 of the Whole Enchilada Cleaning Extravaganza!!!
I didn't want to feel overwhelmed, to begin with, so I chose the master bathroom. I cleaned the toilet, sink, and mirror just the other day so I had a little headstart. Today I vacuumed and cleaned a drawer and a cupboard under the sink. Monday is a big day as I pretty much relax and do crafts over the weekend. So come Monday I have a bit to do. In addition, I called in and picked up prescriptions, emptied the garbages and got it out to the street. I took my walk, washed my comforter and blanket on my bed and changed the sheets. I still have another load of laundry to do and I'd like to paint the back door but that might be wishful thinking since I got up at 2:30 this morning.
Yesterday I did work on my Santa Sunday.............
Today I got "treasures" in the mail!!!! 3 of the 4 books I ordered...........
my favorite mystery series..............
the first book in a new to me series about quilting............recommended by an avid quilter on IG.....I read a bit of it and it feels like it's going to be good..............
and finally, this book also recommended by a fellow quilter............
I did some ironing yesterday while watching 2 NFL football playoff games.

Yes when I get behind I do the everyday cleaning one room at a time. Yes a week and I should be able to deep clean one room. Just not this week:) Still stuck upstairs in a storage area! I will be there awhile! :)

DeleteThat sounds like a great cleaning method. You amaze me at all that you get done every day. I spent 5 hours at the hospital this morning with Dennis while he had an endoscopy. Other than that I did get a load of laundry done. :-) . Tonight he's coughing and sneezing and I think he may have picked up a bug while flying home Saturday. The incubation period is right. I don't want it! There seem to be so much sickness out there this year.

Poor Dennis! I hope everything is okay? I hope you all don't get the flu. If you saw my house you would not think I got a lot done but I do work hard....it's just too much for me to take care of. Plus, I have stuff that I need to get rid of.
DeleteAs for sleep...I get plenty I just have a different schedule than most. I go to sleep when I'm tired and get up when I'm rested anywhere from 5-8 hours or longer. Yesterday I went to sleep at 7:30 p.m. and got up at 5:00 a.m. I don't usually sleep that long but I did last night! I fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI decided to go through a storage bench in my bedroom today because I knew I had craft supplies in there but couldn't remember what and it turned into a 6 hour cleaning spree. Ha! I am definitely going to do my best to get organized around here. It's a process and takes time. Definitely couldn't do it in a day or even a week. Good luck with your sorting and cleaning.
ReplyDeleteI love Joanne Fluke books! I did an extreme clean on the master bath and 50% of my bedroom last weekend and it felt amazing to wake up Monday to a clean house! I have much more to clean, but boy it sure feels good.

I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my wife.
