What did I say about Fall and the temps being in the 80's now? Well, they are now back in the 90's F and even 104 the other day! Dang it...I sure dislike Summer here but it won't be much longer I hope until the temps drop and the leaves too! I am ready for Fall.
Meanwhile I keep clearing and cleaning and cooking. Last night I made a great recipe called Chicken Bacon Ranch Zucchini Boats.........
They were delicious but took 3 times as long to cook as the recipe stated. It could be because the zucchini I used was a big one. I would also make a few changes to the recipe. I would peel the squash and wrap the halves individually in foil. Here's the link to the recipe.
I worked on my Monthly Monday yesterday.......I did the man's pants and started on his topcoat.
I also sewed some more rag strips together and crocheted on my rag rug but I noticed that some of them got twisted and show the wrong side so I need to redo the blue........

DeleteThose zucchini boats look and sound really good. We had zucchini and yellow squash from the garden at the lake. I also cut up some onions from the same garden and sauted it all in olive oil for dinner along with a steak on the grill. Dennis loves squash cooked that way.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your projects and your fall finds from last year. I'm going to wait to get out my fall decorations until after our Omaha trip. I'm not ready for lake time to end, but end it will next weekend. Then we'll just be here one night for closing up the first weekend in October.
It's supposed to be 93 here tomorrow and then a cool down into the 70's will happen. It's unusual to be this hot here in September.

DeleteYour post and the comments above make me think I need to start decorating for fall. If I start now, I might actually have the house looking autumn-ish when it gets here. I'd be struggling if we were still dealing with those high temps (and we still could into October), but I find myself groaning a bit when I read that the temps here are rising into the mid-80's. Bring on fall!

ReplyDeleteUgh, I'd be a melted puddle by now living in your way too hot temps this time of year. Our nights are cooling of significantly which makes for wonderful sleeping. I just noticed on my calendar notations from last year that I didn't switch from summer to my fall decorations until the last half of September last year. I'm thinking it's gonna happen earlier this year because I'm so ready! Here's hoping your weather moderates soon!

DeleteYep...but keep in mind, offically it is not FALL yet!! Although the cooler temps in the morning while out doing coffee and the evening temps are AMAZING. Today in the day hours it is suppose to be in the low 90s....I for one am so ready for cooler day temps. Only wishing it would hang around as long as summer and winter does! YOur dish looks amazing. And I miss cross stitching. I gave it up cause it was more of an issue to see to do and the cat wanted to play with my thread as I pulled it through. HAHA...life, so much fun.
