Wednesday...........

This has not be a very productive week.  Today I made a run to Walmart mostly for dog food and I picked up these items for some future projects............
this is 14 count Aida cloth for............
a Stitch Along (SAL) starting June 12th on The Fat Quarter Shop's Floss Tube channel......LIVE at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.  I am excited as it feels like you are right there with Kimberly while she stitches the same project as you!  I ordered the floss that I needed except for one that they are out of and I think it is the blue of which you need 4 skeins.....I looked at Walmart today but they didn't have it either.  I may have to order from somewhere else.
I also ordered the kit from the present SAL but I'm a bit late to the party..............this one is a kit so it comes with everything you need; floss and fabric and pattern............

I did manage to do a budget...finally!  I did an Excel spreadsheet and I am hoping this works out and I can keep my head above water while still having some funds for my crafts and gardening and meds for all of us! LOL!
I've been working on my 2nd sock on breaks and I'm about 1/2 way down the foot and hope to finish before this coming YOP Sunday.  I have big feet so it's a long foot! LOL!
I also found my charger for my dust buster! PTL!  I have a terrible time misplacing chargers for my tools.  I need to start labeling them with bright colored tape.
I made my summertime Mediterranean salad (no lettuce) as it is getting hot here.  I also made another skillet pizza..........Margherite style with my own fresh basil.............there was also a loaf of bread baked this week.
Tomorrow is already Thursday and I feel like I've gotten so little done but I did spend a lot of time on the budget and oh, one whole morning again on pc problems..........I think the mystery is solved!  They installed new drivers for my monitor and the screen is no longer going black.....whew!
I use Geek Buddy which is part of my Comodo security  package.  It is pricey for a year....about $100 or $139...I can't remember but living so far from EVERYTHING.....it is worth it!  They are available 24/7 and they can log on to my pc (with my permission) and they take over and fix any problems!  I have had them for about 10 or 13 years and there has never been a problem they haven't been able to fix and I have never had a virus or malware or anything. They didn't pay me to say that but I like to promote businesses that actually do what they say they will.  Anyway...just thought I would let you know.
On the down side........Nitty didn't eat today.  I'm thinking maybe we are nearing the end.  The vet said I would know when she stops eating and drinking........I will let you know.  Some days I just like to think we could keep going on like this but I know that is wishful thinking.  Each day with her is precious but I am being selfish, I know.  I will not let her suffer though.
I hope all is well with you and that your Spring (my summer already) is going well and you are not suffering from flooding or terrible storms.  So far so good here.  TTYS!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Scrubby yarn? I'm definitely going to have to look for some of that! So sorry to hear about Nitty. It is so, so hard to lose them. :(

Doing something like a budget doesn't feel productive, but truly, it is. Hopefully everything will go smoother all around with it. Glad you got your monitor fixed. I didn't realize they used drivers!

    1. I'm glad I made a spreadsheet because the bills change all the time and the due dates too! My water bill went up $10 this pat year and when I call they say they haven't raised the rates....REALLY? Then home insurance and car insurance both went up. I will definitely have to keep an eye out for those types of changes.
Yes, I sat with Nitty last night and told her it was okay and to let me know when she's had enough. She's lost weight so I am feeding her twice a day and she can't chew the kibbles anymore so it's canned food. If she doesn't eat today I will make arrangements.

  2. Your pizza looks quite yummy. Let me know how you like the scrubby yarn. If it is hard to work with. It would make great gifts for my families. Hopefully Nitty is just getting g used to the warmer weather and will be back on her feed soon. If not......that will be a sad day for you and all of us who have come to love her thru you. Summer has arrived here in Arizona too. We ate how in the 100's but our humidity is still low so it's not too horrible.....yet.

    1. The scrubby yarn with the free pattern on Red Heart is not bad to work with. It's around scrubby with just 3 rows. I know I tried another pattern before that and could not work with it but this one is easy. Connie from Far Side of Fifty uses this one and told me about it. They work up really fast too!
Yes, the humidity isn't too bad....yet but i still can't work out in it during the day. The curtains are shut and the AC is on!
I'll be seeing how Nitty does today...if she doesn't eat or drink then I will probably take her tomorrow. It will be a sad day but we've had a great life together and good memories.

  3. You say you haven't been productive but you sure look like you have been to me. Your purchases look great. I like the scrubby yarn and that cute flag cross stitch kit. And budgets are draining, timewise and emotionally.
I'm sorry to hear about Nitty. These fur babies sure take an emotional toll, but the love they give us makes it well worth it. Visitors told me a few days ago that Frannie looked skinny. I guess seeing her everyday, I just didn't notice because it was gradual. I weighed her yesterday and then called the vet to see what she weighed when we were there in October. She's lost 4.6 lbs! That's a lot. She only weighs 6.8 lbs. now. I have an appointment to take her in to be checked next Wednesday.
    Gotta love our babies.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. Nitty has lost weight. She stopped eating the dry food as she couldn't chew it anymore and I really didn't notice because Annie goes out and eats it. She gets canned food in the evening and now canned food in the morning too but like I said...she didn't eat yesterday. We'll see how today goes. Thank you for your vote of confidence in my productivity...it always makes me feel better. I hope your Frannie is okay...if she's old she may need softer food. Glad you're taking her in to be checked. TTYS! Hugs....also, so happy your back is improving! What a blessing that is and just in time for the lake!

  4. Sam, I'm sorry to hear about Nitty...it's so true that when they stop eating and drinking, it's not a good sign. I've had to do this a few times and it's hell. Wishing you both love and hugs. xxx

  5. Oh, that skillet pizza looks yummy! I must try that sometime; I've always made mine in the oven.

I'm sorry to hear about your precious Nitty. It is never easy. I just went through this same thing with my kitty cat. We used droppers to feed her egg yolk, milk specifically made for kittens, and water. Sometimes giving them a little extra nutrition helps and they perk back up. In this case, we lost her, but I don't regret for one minute trying to help my precious fur baby.

I'll be praying for you and your Nitty.

    Blessings, Net
