Happy month of May everyone!  I hope you enjoyed the first day of this delightful month.  I installed the screens I washed yesterday and had the windows open all day.  It was blue skies and a nice breeze and the birds were singing.  The cat girls spent much time at the open windows watching and listening to the birds.
I finished baking off the cookies I started last night...........
.Pioneer Woman's recipe for Oatmeal Crispies that are Marlboro Man's favorite and one of mine too.
I washed a load of clothes worked on my cowl and took care of some financial matters in the morning and also canceled my Gastroenterologist appointment.  It took 3 months to get the appointment but I am fine now so no sense looking for trouble.   I do have to get the girls in for rabies shots and I have to see the eye doctor.
This afternoon while baking the cookies I did some sewing finally....it felt good and it is so much faster than handwork! LOL!
I love my new sewing machine.  I didn't want to sew because my old one would never work properly.  It's so wonderful to just turn the machine on and start sewing....no fuss, no muss!
Last night I watched the first half of a new podcast out by Yarn Hoarder.  I'll finish watching it tonight.  Enjoy the rest of your day!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. You were very busy today. It was cloudy here but nice enough to turn off the A/C. Yea!

Your cookies look yummy. Oatmeal cookies have to be healthy...right?

Everyone is sewing and tempting me to drop my knitting and start sewing. I will resist....I will resist.

    1. I'm so bad...this house is so well insulated that I go to bed with the AC on and then in the morning I have to turn the heat on! It's all brick and takes a long time to heat up but then it also takes a long time to cool off....I can't wait! LOL!

  3. Yummy, yummy cookies! They look delicious. We had our furnace on today and in a couple days it’s supposed to be 80°. We have had the craziest spring weather this year. I’m glad you’re loving your new sewing machine. I need to do a little bit of sewing myself. I hope you’re having a nice night of sleep since it is probably close to midnight at your house as I write this!
    Blessings, Betsy

    1. We're having the same kind of weather....heat and AC are both being utilized and in between I can have the windows open. I am 'early to bed, early to rise'....if I slept until 7:00 a.m. I would feel behind all day...this morning it was 4:00...perfect! LOL! I went to bed about 9:00 p.m.

  4. You are always so productive! I love that. I would love to have a new sewing machine. Mine has severe tension problems and needs a new bobbin holder, but I'm not even sure I could find a new one. Hearing how well you like your new one makes me miss sewing.

    1. Maybe you could do a 'trade-in' and then it wouldn't cost as much. Your best bet would be a local store where they sell and service their machines. Although, I have no idea where you would find the time as you guys have your hands full with critters and gardening! LOL! We love it all though, don't we...anything and everything that makes us feel productive and self-sufficient.....old pioneer stock! LOL!

  6. I'm catching up! I agree....a new sewing machine is the best! I got a cheap Brother but it's so easy and nice! I've been sewing paper though so I'll have to remember to change my needle! Will you remind me? lol Hugs!
