YOP Week #10

Happy to be back knitting Magic Loop cuff down and my vanilla sock.........and I am loving this yarn!  It is Paton's Kroy 4-ply fingering weight sock yarn.  I wasn't sure about the color but I really like it now that I'm seeing it in the sock.  It is so much prettier worked up, I think.  I'm on the heel flap right now............
I also got the quilt 'sandwich' put together and pinned although I ran short of pins so I may have to quilt a bit and then remove some pins and reuse them in a different place....it's all about the 'logistics'! LOL!
Can you see the pins?  I use those curved ones which are easier when 'sandwiching'.....
I worked on my 'Frosted Pumpkin' this week and the hat pattern is fun to watch take shape with the different colors.............
I didn't blog yesterday because I thought I had lost my wallet and I spent 2 hours looking for it....I found it PTL but then I had to go to Wally World and didn't get home until almost 4:00 p.m. and then had to unload and put everything away.....yada, yada..........today I'm feeling a bit under the weather so I may go and lay down for awhile....I'll catch up with you all later or tomorrow.
Happy Trails!!!

  1. Rest and feel better. Misplacing a wallet is stressful indeed.

  2. Feel better soon. I hate it when I lose my wallet, or keys and spend frantic time looking for them. I am glad you found it. I love your socks and that Kroy colourway is working out very well.

  3. Hi Sam :) I hope you're doing better after a nice long nap. I could use one today, it's rainy and chilly...perfect nap weather! But I have baking to do :)) Again, I love that pumpkin!! And your quilt is amazing! That's one thing I haven't tried yet...it's on my future to do list for sure! The sock colours are great!! I have to look up this magic loop thing, I've read about it here and there, but don't quite know what it means. I'm guessing it's good for socks.

  4. The quilt is looking good and the cross-stitch so cute. My Albany boy is not feeling well this weekend at all. It's been raining there a lot anyways so he's doing a lot of sleeping. Hope you get to feeling better.

  6. I am still in love with your pumpkin. I am always amazed at how much you get completed on your crafts each week. Especially since you post almost daily and you are always very busy with everything each day. Isn't amazing how quickly socks knit up when you use the method that is near and dear to your heart? That quilt is so cute and I love the way you describe the pins you used. LOL I had to enlarge the photo and really look a couple of times before I got the humor. Have a great week.

  7. That Kroy sock yarn is gorgeous! I see the pins, but couldn't quite tell from the pictures how they are curved, so I googled them. I didn't know there was such a thing. Hope you're not coming down with anything. Have a great week, Sandra!

  9. Glad you found your purse - it can be so frustrating having to search and search for hours. Those pins look like curved safety pins - I can imagine they would be good for sandwiching your fabric. Interesting how that sock yarn is working up. Hope you're feeling better by now.
