Wonderful Wednesday!

The sun is shining and it got up to 44 F today!  But the best part of this day is that I got treasures in the mail!!!!  I really didn't get much done at all.  I spent the day printing off patterns that I have downloaded over the last who knows how long and had to stop as I ran out of paper.
But  here are my treasures.......I can't wait to try these Tombow brush pens.  They have a brush tip and the other end has a fine tip.  Almost every bullet journal You Tube video person uses these.
I also got my favorite paint and primer as before long spray paint season will be here and I must be ready!
I've had this book on my Thrift Book wish list for awhile now.....it came highly recommended by someone, I just can't remember who..........
and of course I had to order the next Harry Potter book!
Since doilies were on my YOP list I thought I would get a book on them which is a modern take and uses all different types of yarn not just the tiny thread.........
and here is my Anne of Green Gables fabric!!!!!!  Isn't it beautiful?  I am going to line my green picnic basket with it so I can store my WIPs in it and they will be out of reach of Miss Peeps little claws!  You really need to line baskets if you are putting yarn in them as they tend to snag it.  I took the measurements according to a You Tube video for lining baskets....any kind or size so I hope it works out!  I'll be sure and show you the results when I'm done.
I really didn't get anything of consequence done except a few bills and some business calls.  I started a new color on the Beatrix Potter blanket which I think will take up most of the middle of the blanket.
That's all for today...tomorrow may be Walmart and then Friday is St. Patrick's Day so I will probably watch QVC as they always have the people from Ireland there selling beautiful Irish items.  Plus, I'll have my corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and turnips boiling away all afternoon and maybe I'll bake up some Irish Soda Bread too......I hope my Irish ancestors stop by, if only in spirit.
Happy Trails!

  1. Always fun to get mail even if you ordered it yourself. I like the looks of that doily book.

    1. It's been awhile since I ordered some things so I was overdue! LOL! Yes, the doily book is by Leisure Arts and just a thin little book but lots of nice patterns. Evidently you can actually use any yarn for any pattern they will just be different in size.

  2. I just checked our library for the crochet book and the "How to Catch a Frog..." book. Not one copy there. Phooey. Thanks for the tips though. I'll be on the look out for them now.

    1. I'm going to start a doily from the book this weekend and not sure if I will use #10 thread or yarn to start. How to Catch a Frog is truly unique and very interesting! I am definitely enjoying it.

  3. Those brush pens are really nice, they'll do lots for your bullet journals! I just use regular markers, it's so much fun to do, it lets you be so creative :) I love that Anne of Green Gables fabric! It's so cute! I'm waiting on a few books myself but dreading the walk to the post box! Too cold. I like your St-Patrick's day menu!

    1. The only markers I had were permanent which bled through the paper so I got some Prisma and then the Tombow for the brush ends. I just found out about Overdrive Listen which is an app you can get for free. It allows you to download ebooks, audio and video too, I think, from your local library. Unfortunately our library doesn't have e-anything. Stay warm! It's cold here but warming up to the 60's F today. In the Winter it is cold and damp here and in the Summer it is hot and humid! LOL!

    2. Are you like me and say "I don't mind the heat, but it's the humidity I can't handle"? Lol..I always laugh at myself when I say that. But I will take a heat wave with 100% humidity any day over the weather we've had lately!!! Oh gosh, I think hell would freeze over if our local library even developed a web site ha ha.

  4. Lots of fun things for you today. You always keep so busy. I just finished physical therapy and I'm heading outside to take a walk. Yes, I said outside! I don't have to go to the mall. The snow is gone! Hallelujah! Have fun with your goodies. I love the Anne of Green Gables fabric.
    Blessings

  7. THis post made me smile. Did you order the Anne fabric online? When I get better at sewing I want to order the better prints online. I love the HP series. It starts getting dark in book four but what a set up for future storylines and it's creative.
