I made up a song (I do that all the time) and it was while I was cleaning. I had finished the project and although it wasn't perfect by any means it was "better than it was before" so that's my story and I'm sticking it to it!
I had some appointments and one was over the telephone but the gal was supposed to call me at 10:00 a.m but she was a 'no-show'. I did get a call back from Terminix though and they have agreed to lower my monthly pest control and my annual termite inspection significantly but then I have been down this road with them before and they never follow through so we shall see.
I don't seem to get as much done when my day is interrupted like that but I did manage to shampoo the dining room carpet but only where I could reach. I need to do the rest after moving the furniture but like I said "it's better than it was before". I used some old generic carpet cleaner and I don't think it did very well. I am going to make my own once I use up the generic and there's going to be Oxiclean in it too!
I also got the 2nd and final coat on the ceiling in the "used to be a closet but is now an alcove". I got one coat on the side walls about half way down. I used a brush as I didn't want to mess with the roller and tray it is such a small space.
That's all for today worth mentioning........leftovers for supper and some vegging out with the t.v. No knitting podcasts though! Maybe I'll watch Harry Potter.....the 2nd movie. What are you up to this Friday night?

You busy bee. Jellybean and I are home right now after a quick Trader Joe's run. I'm makin' tea and am listening to a cozy mystery on Overdrive Listen. Will just chill tonight as Craft Night is next Friday. Tomorrow we're heading up to the city for brunch w/the girls' godmum and their godbrothers.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a Trader Joe's...I would so love that! I'll have to look into Overdrive Listen and what cozy mystery are you listening to? Craft night sound great! I wish I could join you....I think maybe we should have a Sykpe Craft night!
DeleteYou are so busy and get so much done. I feel like a slug next to you. I learned to knit from utube videos about 10 years ago. I still don't really have anyone I know here that I can ask questions about it. So yes...I've made lots and lots of mistakes. I rip it out and try again...or I just plain give up once in awhile. Usually I plug alway until I figure it out. I meant it when I said I would knit your Hermione socks for you. No problem at all. The granny blanket I made a couple of years ago with my scraps. I love it! So warm and goes right into the washer/dryer.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Friday evening. I just watched the Grocery Girls new Craftsy show. It was pretty good. Hubby and I are going to get a very healthy dinner tonight at Dairy Queen! I haven't been out to eat in over 2 months and they have a $5 all day deal right now. Hamburger/fries/soda/sundae. All for $5 so we're going to splurge on a big date!:-)
Blessings,
Betsy
That is very inspiring that you learned the same way I did to knit! There may be hope for me yet. I know I'll go back to it but it might be awhile. I think I see a granny square blanket in my future! I'll have to check out the new show. Dairy Queen and such sounds great! I eat pretty healthy but every once in a while I treat myself to a bacon cheeseburger, fries and malt at Sonic! LOL! That's a good price! Enjoy!
DeleteTonight I am still up but headed for bed, calm night at home after a busy day.
ReplyDeleteI like calm:)
Me too.....peace on earth good will to all!
DeleteHi Sam :) You got a lot done tonight! I was knocked out early from exhaustion...crazy how I'm still having energy-related issues since I got sick nearly 2 weeks ago. Now I'm up in the middle of the night, ack! The dogs are keeping me company though, so I'm planning my weekend right now, though I think a lot of it will be spent under the covers!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to sew this weekend and here it is Sunday night and no sewing but I did crochet a bit and vegged out and slept really great so that's not bad, right?
DeleteHaving a great sleep is WONDERFUL. I'm due!
DeleteHad to laugh about not wanting to mess with a roller. I am painting an entire (but small) room with a brush. We are on the final wall today. And we are cleaning the carpet in there now that there is no furniture too. As for Friday night, Hubby and I watched Bonnie and Clyde.
ReplyDeleteI know....if I have to drag out a bunch of equipment it's probably not going to get done as sometimes I only have 15 -20 minutes worth of energy! LOL!
DeleteYou sound like a busy gal. Thanks so much for following my blog and for your sweet visit and comment. I tried following you back and I get a forbidden error 403 message, whatever that means. I'll try again later . . . it is always a pleasure meeting another blogger with common interests. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteConnie :)
Thank you, Connie! I do hope you return and I can't wait to see your posts...the name of your blog really does say it all! Love it!
