Finally! I got some paint on the wall.....well actually this is the ceiling............
but here's a wall.............it will need 2 coats....what doesn't? But I love the color so far. This is an entryway closet that is directly across from my front door and is not really needed so I took off the doors and decided to make it a little entryway alcove instead. Those are shelf brackets and the shelf will most probably go back in but then probably a mirror and a little piece of furniture.
So, more painting today and............when I was looking for grout sealer the other day at Walmart (which they didn't have or I didn't find) I ran across this handy item....hopefully. The bristles are sturdier than what I've been using.
More grout cleaning is in my future!
Seeing progress, albeit small, is motivating. Also, Duck Tape came out with their brand of Washi Tape which has been sorely ignored in this country. The Brits have had it for forever!
Little owls.....how cute are they? Have a great Saturday!
Sunny here and getting to 76 today....clothesline weather.
Happy Trails!

Love the paint and the owl tape. I saw lots and lots of washi style duck tape at Hobby Lobby the other day for the first time. Such cute designs. We're having very severe thunderstorms and a flash flood warning right now. Your sunshine sounds great. We didn't even go to the lake this weekend because the weather is so icky...and I have had a migraine for two days. Much better today though. Have a lovely evening my friend.

Oh boy....Spring is having it's way around the nation it sounds like from north, south, east and west! Stay safe! The headache could be from the biometric pressure dropping which happens when a strong front moves in. I always get a headache before a big storm. But if you have migraines ordinarily then that probably doesn't help!
Delete76 is lovely weather for lots of things. Above 90 already here at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. I've not walked at all lately. Keep saying I'll get up early and get out there but now that my senior boy has finished school, I don't have to get up early after all. I like the idea of an alcove rather than a closet where things will just get shoved away.
ReplyDeleteThis house was built for my parents who were "fancy" people...I, on the other hand, am more the log cabin variety! LOL! Oh, sleeping in.....sounds great! Tell your son congratulations...and Mom and Dad too!
ReplyDeleteWish I had an entry closet. I am stuck with hooks on the wall and a hall tree downstairs. Is that a sage green color? Looking good! :)
ReplyDeleteI would prefer hooks....a closet means hangers and they had folding doors....and we don't wear heavy coats here...it was all too much and if you had the front door open even worse. My father was good builder but a lousy architect.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the painting...yes, it always does seem to need two coats why is that I wonder?? Happy new week!

I have even spent money on "one coverage" but I think maybe that's only tru if you are painting it the same color as it was! LOL! Happy Week to you too Helen!
