It was so nice yesterday. I tried to stay outside as much as possible. I took a walk and overnight the redbuds had bloomed (after the big storm)..........I walk every day so I notice! What's so strange is that they all bloom at the same time even though they are all spread out in the woods.........
My big oaks in the front yard are sprouting as you can see that hint of green...........
I found this blooming in the woods and I have no idea what it is. I think it's too early for honeysuckle and it didn't have that wonderful smell so not sure...........
A little closer to home.....like my yard....there were these blossoms which are so fleeting..........
I finally came in and made some Doll Face cookies..............

Such pretty blooms we don't have Redbuds up here it is too cold! So it is fun to see the blooms. Pretty orange tulip! I like those colors too...would make a beautiful shawl or blanket:)
ReplyDeleteI remember one in a courtyard at work in Iowa. That was my first knowledge of them. I'm surprised about the tulip because the squirrels usually dig them up and carry them away. Oh, a shawl in those colors would be very pretty!

DeleteI should have mowed our yard before today's rain, but butterflies were flitting around the "wildflowers" that bloomed there, so I just let it go.... I have seen a couple of hummingbirds here and there for the past few days.
