Blogmas Day #6

Last night I stayed up late to watch the Bears beat the Cowboys 31-24!  I can't believe I was able to stay awake!  But I did and I finished my Witchy Wednesday cross stitch..................easy quick and enjoyable.............
I forgot to show you my Snow Mama with her baby...............I purchased her years ago at a craft fair and I've never regretted it...........she is precious and is made out of an old chenille bedspread and an old quilt................we watched the game together last night.....she is also a Bear's fan..........

Today I got a few gifts in the mail to wrap for Santa to deliver..........but I spoke to soon about the Fat Quarter Shop!  I ordered last Sunday and it is still not here!  I did get the frig cleaned out, the turkey de-boned and the meat cut up and the carcass frozen.  I am on the 4th ornament now so I will keep that first one that has the mistake and give the others to the grands.  The weather  has been great......still!
Here are your Christmas Tidbits for today!
I wish I had the time to make these.....they look so pretty!  They are watercolor snowflake cookies.....her link gives you all the recipes, ingredients, supplies needed and a video here
I would love to make this.....no directions but it wouldn't be hard to figure out...............

I hope you are enjoying the lead up to the holidays and today is Friday!
Happy Trails!!!

  1. I enjoy seeing the craft ideas you share. I pin many quilt patterns that I am sure I could figure out (I just need more hours in a day). And those cookies! Too pretty to eat!

  2. And, I am guessing Snow Mama stayed awake through the game too! She's precious! The granddaughters are coming next Friday to help bake cookies. They are so excited!

  3. Yes, I'm sure one could draft a pattern for the quilted tree. It would make a lovely wall hanging.

    1. I'd love to mess with some of the fancy cookies I see but so far I have not been able to fit them in.....maybe after Christmas.

  5. I love that sweet Snow Mama and I'm wondering if I were to make that tree small enough, I could sew it by hand since my back still won't let me sit at the sewing machine. Hmmm. Maybe by next year! I may have to make a trip to Hobby Lobby for some Christmas fabric.
Wishing you a great Saturday Sam.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. It doesn't look very big and I'm sure you could make it whatever size you wanted.

  6. Thanks for leaving a comment for me; 113 comments have been spread out over a year's time. I haven't written in over a year. Neither do I have friends to socialize with, just one sister-in-law, my three daughters, and a granddaughter-in-law. But it's my fault; to have friends, one must be a friend. I'm somewhat agoraphobic and choose to be a home body; however, I do enjoy your blog so much!

  7. Not able to respond to your comment.

The Sweet Sixteen is a mid arm sit down machine. Almost like a domestic but with a bigger throat and larger surface to quilt.
