Blogmas Day #2

Today was busy but there won't be any pictures of it!  I was busy helping Santa Claus get some deals on Cyber Monday!  I got myself some too while I was at it!  I was able to get some major shopping done plus I went to the post office and mailed a package off to Joanie who sent me all those cross stitch patterns and that journal.  So, no pictures but I ordered my Christmas sock yarn and my Christmas book which just so happened to be the next Joanne Fluke mystery which is about Christmas.....book #6 which is what I am ready to read.  I'll wait a bit closer to Christmas before I start it.  So, I have my cross stitch kitted up, my sock yarn is coming, my Christmas book and I have a quilt pattern book I want and other than food goodies I am set for my Christmas.  Well, I still need to decorate and make cookies but that goes without saying.
I did see a super deal on a drone at Penney's for $19.95!  Can you believe it?  They're  usually at least $100!  I thought about it for my grands as they would be ecstatic...they are all very technical.....but the danger....live wires, poking eyes out.....causing an accident running into a car windshield....,,,I could see it all flash in front of me!  Yes, I would be the most awesome Grandma in the world until someone ended up in the ER and then my name would be mud or worse! LOL!  Plus, the parents would hate me the minute they opened their present!  But I thought I would put the word out there in case any grown up boys (wow, that's an oxymoron!) had one on their list.
Meanwhile, all I have for you today are Christmas Tidbits.............
This is a hoot and SO true!
Here's a different kind of recipe......recipes for diffuser blends....If you can't read this, if you click on it it should get bigger....otherwise you can visit this link

Here's a cute craft to crochet...........the instructions can be found  here

That's all for today folks!  Tomorrow and Tuesday will be in the 60's so you can bet I will be out and about when the weather is that nice!  I'll finish up my shopping, get a few groceries and then start wrapping!!!
Happy Trails!!!
P.S. Did you get any deals this weekend or today?  Curious shoppers want to know!

  1. Wow, another productive day! I was ready to shop the cyber deals from the comfort of my warm cozy chair, but I really did not find anything that seemed like a big bargain or knocked my socks off. I have been shopping starting in September and with so many grandchildren now, I really have shortened my list. Each gets one toy, a set of bed sheets (I found cute ones last spring) and $20 in $1 bills. We play dirty santa with our children and their spouses so I only need 2 gag gifts and 2 $25 gift cards. I told my friends a few years ago, NO MORE GIFTS. I have come to the time when I need to pare down, not add more to the pile. But I did hope to maybe find some treats for me. LOL

  2. I an not believe that price on the drone. I refuse to get hubby one. His best friend had one and hardly used it. Sounds like you are all set for Christmas other than food. I am still decorating the inside of the house. It takes so long!

    1. Oh, I haven't started decorating yet as I needed to get the presents ordered and even then some won't arrive until the 12th to 15th! I guess the only thing that Walmart will deliver in 2 days is groceries....the other stuff comes from other places.

  3. I'm not having much success with gift buying this year. I put the tree up so early this year that I am already tired of it; even thinking about taking a few things off and putting on some other old things that I am missing. I am hoping to get the dolls' dresses finished by the end of the week. With the pumpkin pie all gone now, it's about time to start making cookies!

    1. I know! My pie is gone too and I ate it all by myself WITH real whipped cream on it too. I have a doctor appointment in Mountain Home the 19th....and lab work and I'm sure it will not go well between the weight and the cholesterol! L I eat healthy except on holidays. That is when I allow myself to have anything. So, yes...it IS time to start making cookies! YUM!

  4. I have crocheted rings like that, but used a canning lid to glue to the back with glitter, and did some paper quilling in the middle. I'll have to find the photo and share it again. Have a nice week.

  5. Hi Sam! I'm really late commenting as all of my family left yesterday and I was not having a good day. I stayed completely off of the computer.
I enjoyed reading how you spent the day yesterday. It sounds as if you are very productive and have a great start on Christmas. We opened gifts when the kids were here so the rest of the month can be spent on focusing on and celebrating the Christ child.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  7. It is nice when you need to be out and about. I remember trying to shove grocery carts through the snow and then carrying them all to the house as I did not have an attached garage. I never go shopping on Black Friday but I just got what I needed for the grands and a few things were on sale...lucky me!
