I finished the leg of sock #1.........for some reason it does not look long enough now that I see the picture....hmm...I counted rows but I think I'll get another pair out and measure........very strange........
Fall has finally arrived and I spent part of yesterday cleaning my garden sprayer and making a dilution of the Wet and Forget to spray my sidewalks and driveway to get rid of the mold. Well, I was all set to go but when I pressed the sprayer nothing came out. It's probably plugged or broken........I walked away. I'll deal with it tomorrow.
I did make an apple pancake for breakfast/brunch and it was delicious..........

That apple pancake looks so yummy. The leg in the sock looks a bit short to me too but then I like a good 7" leg on mine unless I am making shortie socks. You got quite a few squares done this week.
ReplyDeleteI make a list each day of what I want to work on fiber wise as well as household wise. I may only get 1 row of something worked on but it was worked lol. If Indo a bit daily then eventually it will get completed, right?
So glad your fall has arrived. We are still waiting for ours to show up. Maybe by the end of this month.
Now I'm super hungry for apple pancake! We went apple picking last weekend so maybe I'll whip one up tomorrow. Love your projects -- fun that we're doing two of the same! And self-striping sock yarn always looks like magic to me. These socks look really wearable.

ReplyDeleteI think you get lots and lots done Sam. That apple pancake looks delicious. Last night Dennis and I took dinner to a friend who had surgery last week. I made my homemade chicken and noodes, biscuits, fresh garden green beans with bacon and cranberry sauce. They said not to bring dessert because another friend of ours made them apple strudel the night before. So we took vanilla ice cream to go along with it! We ate with them and it was all so good. Your apple pancake reminded me of it. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never count the rows on the leg of my socks because I always lose count. I just measure when it looks right and try to get a 6 1/2 to 7 inch leg depending on how much yarn is in the skein.
Sorry about the sprayer. It's definitely fall yard care time. We brought in all of our yard decorations and patio furniture today. After church Dennis trimmed and mowed the yard and I cut a few bushes. We turned the sprinkler off yesterday and closed up Larry & Nita's and Paul & Lori's trailers. I guess it's good to be ready for the snow since we already had a bit of it last week.
