I've been watching Tammy over at T's Daily Treasures doing a creative challenge for 61 days and it looked very interesting. I've been wanting to 'dabble' in drawing and painting just for the fun of it and Tammy's daily index cards of drawings and water colors looked like just what I would enjoy. Of course, as always, by the time I realized I wanted to partake it was over with but that's okay. The challenges and prompts are all still out there on this lovely artistic lady's blog.
So, this afternoon, I went into the guest bedroom and 'stole' the grands watercolor paints, dug up some index cards I had and 'went for it'. It didn't take a lot of time and I really enjoyed it. It's nothing to write home about but it was fun and satisfied that inner child of mine...........
This is what I came up with......the 1st prompt was SUNRISE..........
Of course, it can never compare to nature's beauty..............
For Fun Friday's I also decided I am going to share with you different fun sites, info, books, movies and t.v. shows or anything else that caught my interest during the past week. Be aware that I have not read, watched or done any of these things but they interested me enough that I wrote them down when I came across them. Usually they are suggestions from other blogging friends or interesting sites that I ran across. So here they are for this week:

I love your sunrise painting. Everyday should have some fun in it. Now I need to go and check out all the links you have in your update.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marsha and you are so right!
DeleteI like your sunrise too! Good for you for giving it a go. My fun Friday included canning figs and eating chocolate chip cake with my granddaughters!
ReplyDeleteOh, it sounds like you had a Fun Friday also.....figs, granddaughters and chocolate chip cake....YUM!
DeleteSplurge and buy some watercolor paper at Walmart. I have some that I use to make cards:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip...I'll do that!
DeleteI absolutely love your sunrise picture. You are a very talented lady my friend! I'll have to check out some of your links. Thank you for sharing them with us. My fun Friday included being at the lake and taking a friend who was inside all week shopping to the dollar tree! We had fun.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
You did have fun! We have a new Dollar Tree over in Ash Flat right across the street from Walmart. I noticed it is now open when I was at Walmart yesterday. I can't wait to visit it as I haven't been to one since I moved here. I was going to go yesterday but the lawn mower guy came and put the new battery in the mower plus I had some ot her errands and chores to do. Maybe next week. You'll have to blog about the 'treasures' you got there!
DeleteSounds like something worthwhile. It would be interesting to see what you come up with. I don't know if it's a good idea to go to sleep too early. I woke up at midnight having to wait seven hours till I get up.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I need to start painting everyday even if it's just a postcard! I like your Friday post!!
ReplyDeleteHey Sam, I'm glad to see you actually did your first index card. It turned out great.
ReplyDeleteI never know if you get my emails, so am answering some of your questions here.
Yes, inclusivity is a word (an intention or policy of including people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized). :)
As for Ramadan, my husband does fast, so from sunup til sundown, he doesn't eat anything. Makes for long hours of fasting during the summer. All restaurants are closed during this time, no one is allowed to eat in public, but they all open just before the sun sets.
I need to practice cleaning my house, too. :) I much prefer to spend my time doing more enjoyable things. I keep saying I'll be a more consistent blogger. Plenty of things I'd like to blog about, but I lose the momentum. You are much better at it than me.
Kuwait used to be the jewel of the Gulf Countries. It started building up way before Dubai did. My FIL had an opportunity to open a company there, but when he stepped off the plane and looked around, he said no way and came back to Kuwait. Now this country is considered the worst in the area. Old ways of thinking and corruption are holding them back in so many ways.
Have a great day!
Tammy
