YOP Week #2

I've had the 'grands' here all week so not a lot of progress was made but I was able to actually get a bit done on some of those WIP's amazingly enough.   My Beatrix Potter blanket got a little attention while we watched movies...............
I worked on The Frosted Pumpkin cross stitch and got a good portion done on it.............on the right hand side.............
and I am most happy and thrilled that I got the 5 beaded star points done on my star ornament and one unbeaded one for the back with only 4 more to go before the I-cord and seaming it together and stuffing!  I'm hoping to finish before next Sunday's YOP edition.  This has been the  most enjoyable project so far...............

When we were in Mountain Home the other day I was able to pick up the last skeins of floss needed to finish The Frosted Pumpkin.......so there's nothing holding me back now for that project!
I am having a great time with my family and I hope you are doing the same!  I am so hopeful and excited about this YOP year and I can't wait to see everyone's progress and projects from last week!
Happy Trails!

  2. I like how there is shadowing in that cross stitch. How patient you are with that star WIP.

  3. Hi Sam :) Lovely projects, I really like the pumpkin!!! I'm a big Halloweenie so anything that has symbolism for that holiday suits me! :) I'm just waiting on a few sets of circular needles I ordered from Wally (should arrive Monday) and I will be posting my very first YOP post! :) Thanks for your encouragement and enjoy the time with your grands!

  8. I imagine a week spent at your house has been lots of fun for the grands. It's good to hear you're having a grand time, too! I think what you've gotten done craft-wise is rather amazing! :) I can't wait to see the beaded star - I can't quite picture what it will look like finished, but I know it's going to be lovely.

  10. Uea, on the 5 points for the ornament. Having company does slow down crafting time a bit. However........it is worth it when it is the grands.
