Lots and lots of goings on!!!!

Let's start with yesterday....my priorities were to go to the bank and get the money to pay the roofers, prep and make a meal and a dessert.  Plus, work on sock and Easter 'stuff'.....sounds doable, right?  Well, when I logged on to my pc I had a message from security software that it wasn't active.  I have 24/7 support so I contacted them via 'chat' and they logged on to my pc and from 7:00 a.m. until around noon they worked on installing the latest release and running scans and of course they ran a backup job for a restore point in case anything went wrong.  In between chats and them basically 'running' my pc I managed to get washed up and dressed and made the bed but I did not get to the bank.  I couldn't leave and the roofers showed up at noon wondering where their money was as I told them I would have it!  They are very nice and said they understood and would be back after work.  I did finally make it to the bank and the store and I made pork chops with mushroom soup and potatoes with green beans for a vegetable...........
Dinner all prepped and ready to go after I'm done baking the cookies.
I got the oatmeal cookies made with craisins and pecans (I'm not crazy about raisins) and even gave some to the roofers who finally got their money!  LOL! They were very appreciative of the money AND the cookies!  I told them they had to share with their wives and that I would be calling to check to make sure they did! Ha! Ha!
My pc is running like a clock and every one should get Comodo Security software.  I can't remember what I pay but it is a bargain for what you get!  They are so knowledgeable and professional and you never have to wait to get a hold of someone.  I can't praise them enough!  I have never had a problem with a virus or malware on my pc and I have had these people for years now.   So if you need good, no GREAT, security software for your pc you need to go visit their website and sign up!  You will not regret it!  I have the one with Geek Buddy so I get 24/7 online support for any problems with my pc.  In fact today, I got a message from them and Microsoft is coming out with a new update to their software and so they warned me to ensure I was up to date.  I was pretty sure I was since Comodo just installed a new version yesterday but I called to ensure.  They logged on to my pc and actually  installed the latest Window's updates for me to ensure everything was compatible before Microsoft pushed it out tonight.  They are fabulous!  They really know their stuff and this is coming from a former systems programmer herself!
The birds are singing their little hearts out around here and what beautiful songs they sing!
Not sure what this one is below...above is a cardinal.  No mistaking the male cardinal with his brilliant red feathers!  Cedar waxwing?  That name just popped into my head....I really have no idea.
So today it was back working on my sock....doing the heel flap and other 'crafty goodness' as there are deadlines!  As much as I dislike deadlines they do push me to get more done.
Yes, and there's even some hexies involved!  Little teeny tiny ones.........free templates you can print off on card stock from Pinterest...........
I hope you are having a great day and that your week is just 'humming' along so far!
Happy Trails!

  2. Isn't amazing how we all begin our days with great intentions. Looks like you still managed to get things accomplished. Those cookies look yummy and I am sure the roofers appreciates the extra kindness from you. I make my pork chops with mushroom soup too. Makes them so tender. We don't get cardinals here........other than our football team lol. Growing up in Kansas, we had lots of cardinals. Gorgeous birds. Interesting crafting going on too.

    1. I think everyone in our generations made those pork chops with the mushroom soup! LOL! Along with tuna casserole and sloppy joes! LOL! Our generation should put out a cookbook of recipes from the 60's!

  4. I think my day today was like your day was yesterday! My entire day was spent working on my iPad. We had porkchops with mushroom soup tonight and potatoes. Our dinners looked very similar! I want to thank you again for your lovely gift. That was so sweet of you. I would like to reimburse you for postage though, if I may? I hope you have a lovely evening my friend.
    Blessings, Betsy

    1. I hate to tell you this but I didn't send you anything. You must have me confused with someone else. If I did and I don't remember then I am really losing it! LOL! Our days were very similar even down to what we had for supper! LOL!

    2. lol. Nope! I'm the one losing it! I wrote on the wrong blog! Oh my gosh. All this inactivity is affecting my brain! You should have taken credit for it. Ha! Ha! Gosh I feel dumb. :-)

  6. Isn't it great when blog friends help with identification. I don't know my wildflowers and searching for names can be difficult, but lots of blog friends sure do know their stuff. I'm sure the roof guys very much appreciated your homemade gift of cookies! :) Those hexies are teeny tiny -- I think I'd have a hard time cutting them out.

    1. I love birds but have no knowledge whatsoever so, yes, I truly appreciate my friends helping me out...maybe one of these days I'll be able to look at a bird and name it beside the common ones.

    1. They're just everywhere right now and flying back and forth across the yard building their nests or singing their love songs to find a mate. It's like a convention! LOL!

  8. Hi Sam :)) I always say a cookie will help a tense situation lol...I'm glad the roofers didn't freak out on you about the money situation! The cookies look nice, I'm not a fan of raisins either. I do like them as a snack, but when they're cooked in things they have this texture that makes me shudder, who knows? Pineapples do the same to me!

That cardinal is something else, how beautiful. We rarely see them in these mountains...they are definitely around but hidden all the time. Your potatoes are reminding me that I need to get some boiled for potato salad tonight! :))

    1. Okay, it's Saturday now and the cookies are gone! Lemon meringue pie is sounding good for Easter! Where are you by the way? Which province? I was looking all over the weather maps last night for the Laurentian mountains but it didn't name them. It looked like there was still snow in Sasketchiwan but it was just the online weather map.

    1. Eater Sunday is supposed to rain so that will be the first test of the roof! Thank you, I think being in computer science for so many years I used my right brain (?) and ignored the creative side (left side?) but now I am making up for it! LOL!

    1. Happy Easter to you too! I had no idea you lived in Africa! Where? I hope it is somewhere peaceful. Isn't this blogging community wonderful where we can commune with others all over the world? Even if there's a language barrier there's Google Translate! I have to stop by and see what you're cross stitching or painting? You are multi-talented. I have a Christmas ornament to finish and I've been looking at a sampler but it takes me so long it seems to do anything. But, as they say, anything worthwhile is going to take time.
