Brrrrrrrrrrrr................

It's only 5 degrees F here this morning but the sun is shining and the sky is blue-blue! By Wednesday it is supposed to be in the 60's...lol!  The other day we had a visitor...I looked out the door because Nitty started barking outside and I saw a gray object in the yard........
I didn't have my glasses on but once I did I recognized it as an armadillo.  You rarely see them during the day as they are night creatures but it was foggy that morning so maybe that was why or he/she was just hungry.  They go for slugs in the yard and I must have gobs of them because they have dug up my yard to within an inch of it's life!
Nitty didn't know what to make of it but,  right or wrong, I told her to "get it" and she took off after it......it ran for cover and boy can they run fast!  Then it got comical..............
it would hide behind the tree and a few seconds later it would come out and Nitty would chase it again..........
This went on quite a few times almost like they were playing tag...........

I finally called Nitty inside as I really didn't want her to tangle with it and possibly get hurt plus she's due for her rabies shot!  They have very long curled sharp claws that dig in the ground and I'm not sure about teeth but they don't scare easy as they know they are wearing a coat of armor!  Plus, it might have been sick as it was out in the daytime.  Did you know that they can carry leprosy?
That is the story of my fearless wonder dog Nitty and her adventure with an armadillo! LOL!
Happy Trails!

    1. Next time I'm at Hibby Lobby I will check to see what the name of that yarn is. I had never seen it before so I think it's a new yarn they have. Time will tell if it really does pill or not!

  3. Aloha Sandra. Aw, bummers on your library being limited. Does it only serve your city? Ours here in the East Bay serves a handful of smaller cities/towns so we're lucky to have a good sized selection. Sometimes Youtube has good audiobooks, although beware of the quality as one I had listened to sounded like it was cut off in places and I totally don't know what happened in the end.
As for the alphabet stamps, they were in my stash for years and there is no brand on them. I suggest you look on Amazon or Overstock. Back up places would be Stampin Up or Simon Says Stamp.

    1. Oh and if you have a Michael's or Joann's nearby they have some alphabet stamp sets. You can also order online. They have 40% coupons that can be used online. So worth it!

    1. Our library is for the county but is very small and limited. Thank you for the advice on where to get alphabet stamps! Your tags were so cute! I'm trying to prep for this coming year of birthdays and celebrations including Christmas! I'm so slow it's never too early for me to start! LOL!

  5. 5!!!!! No thank you. It was 47 here this morning and that's cold enough for me. Armadillos are strange creatures for sure. Nitty must have been quite pleased with herself. Gkad she didn't get hurt though.
