I mowed yesterday and my zinnias that I planted from seed are starting to bloom!
and the hydrangeas..........
and the tiger lilies..........
and the Stella D'Oro............
and this weed which fascinates me and is taller than I am! I had to let it go to see what it would become and it is starting to flower.....the leaves are huge and like lambs ears............the biggest lamb I ever saw!
My flowers in my trough are also starting to bloom...they're called charabol or something like that.....
I have some volunteer tomato plants coming up in the trough also..........who knew?
I chose my next audio book and started listening to it today.
It's very good so far. I listen to my audio books in the kitchen while I'm washing dishes and cooking. The girls seems to like it too as they all come in the kitchen and lay down..even the cats. I tell them it's "story hour"....lol!

Sunday I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of 3 ring binders and organized for the next Year of Projects on Ravelry and many other categories such a lists of book series, recipes and my individual patterns for all my handcrafts...........
I print off patterns and put them in plastic covers that have holes for the binders and in they go!
I have a notebook for each Year of Projects...this will be my 5th year! I was keeping the notebooks in my crafts room but since I am usually "crafting" at night when I'm in bed watching t.v. I decided it would be handier to have them on the shelf in my bedroom closet. This may change though as I came up with a better idea!
BTW...my shelf and my clothes rod are not curved like that....I have no idea why it looks that way in the photograph?
I decided to use this cutie pie of a notebook to hold the patterns of what I am currently working on.....brilliant!
and in the same vein, I put all my current projects in this old porcelain container which I can easily transport to my bed in the evening.
I've had to rearrange my life and lifestyle because of Miss Peeps being able to "scale tall buildings in a single bound"....lol! She's getting much better it seems since she turned a year old....no more biting or scratching or jumping on me but she still gets a kick out of knocking over garbages and this is where she likes to take her naps..............I make my bed every morning and then there's this..........
she's under there napping.....I declare!

I finished painting my old rusty chair. I have another one in the basement to paint still and bring outside. I painted it a cream color to go with the trim on the house. I have dark brown and cream colors for accents on the house.
Did I tell you I bought a grill at Walmart? They were only $14.00 so I grabbed it! I have a built-in grill on my stove top but it is a bear to clean and I have another built in grill on my porch but it is too hot out there in the summer but great for winter grilling! So, I thought this would be perfect for me outside.
I still have to put it together and I'd better hurry up as my next meal is going to be brats, potato salad and baked beans!
I hope you're having great weather and a wonderful week! Happy Trails!
Your flowers look great. Fantastic buy on that grill. Supper sounds delicious.

Thank you, Judy! It took me so long to get the grill put together that supper didn't get made but today for sure!
DeleteCommon Mullein is your big yellow bloom, you can use the leaves for warmth in your shoes in the winter. Miss peeps is hiding from you...cute thing:) I enjoyed your flowers:)
ReplyDeleteI knew YOU would know what it was! Thank you! Yes, those leaves are huge and I 'll have to remember that come winter!
DeleteYour musings always make me smile. Nice grill there. Dinner sounds very yummy. I can't believe we are getting ready for year 6! I went thru my "stuff" today, trying to get a handle on what will be listed for the next year. Miss peeps is the kind of cat I love.
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of looking through my Pinterest boards and I am going to have to narrow it down a bit unless I clone myself! LOL!

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous! I've divided up my different patterns in 3-ring binders also. I LOVE your porcelain pan idea. I have tote bags but can never find the items in the bottom. You always make me smile. Great grill find too. Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. The headache is minutely better today.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I hope you make it to the lake this weekend!
DeleteThe flowers look great. Some of mine are about to bloom. I do the same thing with binders. I have one for current ones too. It really helps. I have too many un-finished projects, so they are all "tabled" until the baby blanket is done. I probably won't get much handiwork, or reading, time in this summer. Unless we go camping, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about UFO's (unfinished objects)!
DeleteYour flowers are gorgeous...I have planted some zinnia seedlings but have to wait a while yet to see if they grow! Love that you and 'the girls' have story hour :) You are very organised with those ring binders and keeping your patterns so neatly!
ReplyDeleteHave a great (nearly) weekend!
Helen xox
Hello, sweet Helen! Let's say I'm trying to be organized! LOL! YOu have a great weekend too!
DeleteWow! Look at you! So organized. Honestly, I try. I find an empty basket and decide to use it for current projects only and before I know it, it's overflowing with so much craft stuff that I can't even find my current WIP, so I move it away and start another empty basket. And the cycle continues. I just have way too much stuff. Your flowers are lovely. That weed looks awesome to me. If it grows and flowers, its a-o-k in my book. How fun to have story hour with your furbabies. Crazy Miss Peeps. Jingles climbs into my closet cupboard every morning and sleeps on the middle shelf of a plastic rolling storage cart and Lord only knows what she's left behind in there. Sometimes I pull out clothes covered in cat hair all along the bottom. In fact, I went to the mall the other day with my son, with clumps of cat hair all down one side of my black pants. He didn't notice. I saw friends there, they didn't say anything. I wondered why people kept looking at me. Then I get to the car and see it. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are too funny! But I totally understand about the cat hair! It's everywhere...it's everywhere! LOL!
DeleteGreat pattern organization for the upcoming YOP. Your garden is growing wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteI still have to narrow it down...way too many projects I want to work on!
DeleteHi there! I'm finally here...sorry it's taken so long! Firstly I'd like to thank you for all your lovely encouraging and sometimes amusing comments on my French blog. I've just been revisiting them and you are so kind to take the time. Wow what beautiful flowers you have. So now I know what zinnias look like! I hope the ones I planted in France will be as pretty as yours. As we're back in England now, I don't know how everything's growing but hopefully I'll have a nice surprise when we return to France in July. You are certainly very organised with all your folders and I love the idea of transporting current projects to bed! I feel inspired to do something similar. Good luck with the barbecue! A great bargain!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by. When you leave France it's like you go into the ethers! LOL! I hope I can keep up when you go in July as I will be having company for several weeks sometime that month. Do yo still have you rEtsy shop? Are you still quilting? I'll email you over on Ravelry.
