This is Amanda...what a worker she is! I had poison ivy, poison sumac and poison oak climbing up the house. Ben was the only one that got it on him and he had to get on steroids when he got home. I tried organic weed killer which did not work so I am having to go back to the chemicals unfortunately but I can't have that stuff in my yard.
Here's the "worker bee" of the family..........his shirt was soaked with perspiration...they all worked so hard and I sure appreciate it!
Here's my daughter Amy getting to work right after she had gotten up at 3:00 a.m. and driven for 10 hours! Ahhhh, to be young and energetic again!
Meanwhile, Grandma had "pool duty"..........
Just last month they were 7, 6 and 3 but now they're 8, 7 and 4.....where does the time go? Uriah is the one without the shirt, Sam in the bigger one with the shirt on and Grayson's the littlest facing the camera. They had a ball together!
Uriah........
Sam..........
Grayson.................
That's all for today....I'll be busy trying to catch up with all of you....I truly have missed you so much!
Tomorrow is the birthday party installment! LOL! And yes, I did manage to get all the presents done....whew! It was close and the house didn't get all clean but they had fresh linens and beds, food and presents! TTYL!
Happy Trails!
I missed you! That is quite a crew! Roundup is the only thing that even comes close to killing Poison Ivy....and then it takes several yearly applications because it keeps coming back. It is best sprayed on the foliage on warm sunny days so the plant really sucks it up!
ReplyDeleteWhat cuties in your pool! :)
You are so right! It has come back 3 years in a row so I have got to keep a handle on. The pools were actually for bathing the dogs but I'm glad they were able to enjoy them. The dogs don't enjoy them that much! LOL!
DeleteWhat a sweet family you have!
ReplyDeleteSo kind and thoughtful of them to help you out :)
Your Grands are adorable!
Glad you are back, as I missed you.
Smiles :)

Hi Kerin! I've got to go see what you've been up to. Yes, the grands are wonderful and what's nice is there was not one tear shed, no fights or squabbles.....I was amazed! My kids weren't like that! LOL!
DeleteI have been missing you but I am so glad you had a good visit with your family. Looks like a hard working bunch.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sharon
How are you Sharon? I have to catch up with you too but it will take awhile as I still have the inside/outside work and it's cool here so iI have to get out and do some painting today, hopefully. I will be by eventually....I hope you are well and have had a great summer with your grands.
DeleteHow wonderful that your family came to help you out. What a great bunch and what hard workers! I am sure you are more than grateful to them!
ReplyDeleteI am very blessed to have them and that they are so willing and able to help out when needed. It's hard for me to ask for help but I sure appreciated it! And it was their vacation! They were probably glad to go back to work! LOL!
DeleteI've missed you girlfriend! But oh what fun you've had! I know you are exhausted from all the work AND play! You've got special kids that will help you out like that. Try to get some rest and enjoy the rest of the week. Can't wait to see more pics. Lots of hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI could not believe how much I missed all of you too! It's amazing what friendships can be formed via the internet. I'm excited to catch up with everyone!
DeleteWhew, I'm tired just hearing what got done at your house. Thank goodness for kids. So sorry to hear about your sons poison ivy. Had that real bad and it seems to last forever before it's gone. Time for you to take it easy the rest of the week, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe how hard they worked. I am eternally grateful. I had poison ivy too and had to get steroids to stop it as it got on my face too. Not this year but when I first discovered I had it in my yard. Not fun....Ben got a steroid pack too after he got back.
DeleteYour lawn looks terrific and for high heat, it looks way better than ours. You did have way more train than we did and we are letting our lawns die. It's amazing how a year can change children in appearance yeah?
ReplyDeleteHi Kepanie. How was your summer with your family? I know you have a drought out there...I am afraid it's not going to get any better. So sad to see the fires etc. I hope you are safe and well and I need to "catch up" with you too!
DeleteYou're back! I missed you but what a wonderful time it looks like you had with your family. Love hearing about family visits and grandkids. Poinson Ivy is nasty stuff. I used to have to get shots weekly as a child because there was so much around where we lived. I didn't even have to touch it the wind would blow on me and I would break out. Anyway...I'm glad you had such a great time. It sounds like you have a wonderful group of kids. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
How are you? Are you all recovered from your surgery now? I hope you are languishing at the lake and enjoying the rest of your summer! I'll be by later in the week...I LOVE the dishcloth you made me! That is the first knitted one I've used...most of mine are crocheted. I'm going to have to make some of those! They would make good facecloths too as they are nice and soft yet very durable! Thanks again!
