I've not blogged because I have nothing to blog about really and I don't have anything to blog about really because something is causing pain in my right hand. I have RA (rheumatoid arthritis) but this is just my right hand on the inside of the wrist but runs up the inside of my arm sometimes but mostly it's the thumb and wrist. So, therefore I haven't been getting much done in the area of "handwork" or housework and I was on such a roll! Dang it! I have tried leaving it alone to heal but that doesn't seem to be working so I'm just going to go about my "business as usual" and if it gets too bad I'll just pop some Tylenol.
Since I haven't been doing much I thought I would at least share some new websites I ran across while I was trying to "heal" and just read but not type.
#1 - I have a new board on my Pinterest page. Slow Cooker Recipes and some of these I really can't wait to try........from Betty Crocker....15 Restaurant Favorites Made in Your Slow Cooker I love slow cooker or "crockpot" recipes; if they're good but so many aren't. I'm hoping to pick up a few good ones from this pin!
#2 - I bought a Grit specialty magazine on bread making for my SIL whose birthday is at the end of this month and who likes to make bread. Specialty magazines make great gifts and they're great on the budget. Of course, I always have to throw in several things...one present just never seems enough. After looking through it I decided I needed a copy; it was that good! Recipes, grain mills, gluten free, sourdough.....everything you always wanted to know for $6.99!

#3 - A SUPER crochet blogger with tutorials and so much inspiration is Heather at The Patchwork Heart She is the most amazing crocheter.....she made 43 blankets this year and they're all gorgeous! You'd think HER wrist would be hurting after all that! She also has her 2014 Year posted and she gets more done in 1 week than I do all year! Here's her latest creation...............The Lucy Blanket
#4 - Here is a fun site if you're looking to get organized in a stylish and pretty way. Visit The Polka Dot Posie and right now they're having a $50.00 gift certificate giveaway. Like Clean Mama they have lots of printables and free organizing tips.
I'll try and get over to see everyone and leave a comment and please stop back here Sunday as I will have a YOP update.....not a lot but I have been working (through the pain) on some things! I hope you all have a great weekend!
Happy Trails!

I hope you heal and are pain free soon. Those recipes will be fun to try.
ReplyDeleteI hope your wrist is better very soon. I made beef barley soup in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. It was goooood! I found the recipe online at taste of home's website. Hubby says it's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I think they make a brace for carpal tunnel and I have heard the surgery is simple and recovery time is just a few days. I hope you get it resolved soon, you with mo thumb must be really bad at least you can still read:)
ReplyDeleteI hope your wrist is better soon. You were on such a roll with your cleaning routines. Thanks for sharing all the links and other stuff. X
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of the Grit magazine. I just need to get busy baking. I hope you are feeling better soon. My hands are feeling a bit better, but I am planning to mix up homemade hand lotion, and add essential oils for sore joints. I hope it works.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're in pain. Ho dang, that looks good. I am very curious about grits. I haven't tried them yet. And dang, how'd that hooker crochet 43 blankets in one year? I think those who learn crochet first usually don't have wrist issues.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are having pain. I know RA is bilateral but I sometimes have pain in only 1 hand at a time, especially my right which has a lot of RA damage. Let it rest and do take the Tylenol. I hope you get better very soon. I enjoy reading how much you get done in a day. I live vicariously through your energy. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sharon
