I repotted a bunch of plants and potted up some I had rooted.........this little shamrock has gone crazy since I repotted it....in just a few days it has sent up all kinds of new shoots and even flowered....what gratitude!
I potted up another celery for this winter.......and it took off too......
I've been S L O W L Y working on the kitchen and have little to show for it really but I did finish the bookcase........
I made some chocolate cherry granola bars from a recipe I got from a sweet blogging friend over at Apron History
Her pictures are much more appetizing than mine but they were quick, easy and delicious and I highly recommend them!
I got tired of knitting/crocheting from patterns...so many gifts to make....so I took a break and just started crocheting some simple little squares that I'm thinking of making into a blanket for Annie for Christmas....there I go...another Christmas present but they're easy and mindless and sometimes that's just the project you need when you just want to sit and watch t.v.
Have any of you been watching the Nature shows with the "cams" on PBS? Here it's on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. CDT and they had a tiger cam and tonight was a penguin cam. The photography is amazing as these cams are set everywhere and disguised so you see the animals acting naturally and close up. Those baby penguins tonight were SO CUTE I couldn't stand it! You can watch it on You Tube and also if you go to PBS Nature you will find all their shows. It is truly spell binding to watch this new way of documenting and photographing nature. Here's a little peek
I hope you're having a good week and that Fall is appearing in all it's beauty to a neighborhood near you! Happy Trails!
You're making great progress on the blanket and I like the idea of your little squares. I haven't seen the PBS shows but think I'll have to check it out.

Happy Fall Sam! You are busy busy too! Lots of things to finish up before winter comes:)
ReplyDeleteHappy fall dear
ReplyDeleteBig Beary hugs with smiles x
Sadly, our cable does not carry PBS any longer. I sometimes crochet granny squares for blankets, while watching TV.
ReplyDeleteNothing speaks of Fall here thought the temperatures have come down in the mornings and evenings. Still hot as heck during the day. You always have so many projects going on. I would say you are definitely not a slug as you always accomplish a lot. I'd much rather craft than clean. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to accomplish a lot! The blanket will be a lovely gift. I love to make crochet squares while watching TV too, such a relaxing kind of crafting and you know at the end you will have made a gift!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy October, Sam .....hope the storm isn't too wild and you have the perfect Fall temperatures soon.

Glad you liked the recipe for the Granola bars! Cranberry and chocolate chip sound like a good combination to me!
ReplyDeleteYou've been pretty busy if you ask me! I really like your book case in the kitchen. The little squares are so pretty. It's nice to have an easy mindless project for TV time! Strictly Come Dancing has just started over here so I'll be glued to the tv every Saturday night til Christmas! X
ReplyDeleteOh my... you are always so busy, I just think you are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the little squares. I think it's going to make a nice blanket.
We just added more channels to our cable line up {we do that every Fall and Winter.. as we are confined to the house more...} and I am enjoying the old movie channels. I should check out the PBS shows too!
Have a great weekend!
Smiles :)

I love animal documentaries, especially ocean ones. They're my companion like an audiobook while I knit.
ReplyDeleteAnd a happy fall to you too. Still waiting for the weather to turn here, it's been unseasonably warm for sometime. We're promised a change soon too though.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from surfing the web and am happy to land here. Your blog is cozy and warm but...you're a knitter! How could it be otherwise?
