YOP Sunday

I really didn't get much done this week on my YOP list.  Halloween pretty much took over and I had a great one!  How about you?
I had more trick or treaters than ever before and I was so happy but it was too warm to have my first fire of the season.  I did manage to get a little ornament done for my Halloween tree although it's going to my grandson so he can have his own Halloween tree and I'll make another one for me.  I  love Skype!  I got to attend his Halloween Party at school with a parade and he in his "Scream" costume.   What a treat that was!
I got the pattern free on Lion Brand website and now I need to find some for Thanksgiving!  My little tree will stay up all year and then I can make different ornaments for it depending on the season.  It has purple lights for Halloween but I'll have to find a different color for Thanksgiving.
I think a tree skirt is on order too!

The leaves have really changed here this week and I took a walk today with the girls to bask in the sunshine and beautiful colors.  I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.  I'm off to watch the Titans and the Rams and do some much desired handwork.  I wonder which came first...football or handwork?  LOL!

  1. Love the tree ornaments! And I love the idea of having the tree up year round with different ornaments :-)

  2. We have no leaves left at all, they are mostly a muddy mess under the trees now, so it's lovely to read about the colours and feel of autumn :)

Some weeks just aren't made for crafting, but luckily crafting doesn't get jealous and leave! I hope you'll have a nice (and crafty) week ^^

  3. Great pumpkin ornament, really cute! How about a stuffed turkey ornament for the thanksgiving tree? We've had very strong winds here, so most of the leaves have blown off, but they weren't the stunning colours that you get.

Loved your comment about middle boy looking like he was about to fall off the side of a mountain while I'm oblivious knitting...made me laugh out loud!

  4. Our Sugar Maples have all gone intense red - we had our first frost the other night. It's a bit sad this year though, as all the Ash trees have been chopped down. Up the road it's one stump after another for several blocks. I guess they couldn't get the Emerald Ash Borer infestation under control so the trees had to go :(

I think a "Scream" costume sounds awesome!

  7. How lucky to be able to be there for your grand with Skype!
    Love technology.

We've been burning fires, and staying indoors, as it was only 24 degrees this morning.

    Have a wonderful week!
